Our Easyjet flight to Cyprus on 11th May is now showing as cancelled even though they have not yet sent an email.
It is now possible to submit the refund request via the web site if your flight is cancelled and you are due to travel within 14 days (was previously 7 days).

Good to know. I'd be cutting it fine for my 14 May flight and a voucher deadline on 30 April.
Where do you see it as showing as cancelled? Mine is 'sold out' i
f I go through the motions of booking it online.

I have a flight booked with Easyjet which has been cancelled due to restrictions Easyjet have sent me options to switch flights but the flights were for an event that is not being re-scheduled so I just want a refund. I have tried calling (the number automatically hangs up on you), emailing their customer service team (I got an auto response stating the email address is not longer in service) and they have turned off their online messenger system. Does anyone have any recommendations of contacting Easyjet to get a refund?
    Hi Malhoo.
We were due to travel to Amsterdam with EJ at the end of March.  I sat for hours in a queue  trying to contact them with no luck.  I searched their website and found a Customer Service Contact Form, I completed this and advised them I did not want a voucher and could not rebook for later in the year or into 2021.
When I sent the message it advised that due to the current CV restrictions they would look to answer this with 28 working days (normally a five day turnaround) on the 8/4th I received an email confirming my refund was going to be processed and over the following five days would go into my credit card account-which it did, thank you EJ.
I hope this helps yourself and anyone else struggling with refunds and I believe now that EJ have now returned the refund button back on the website which hopefully will still be their when I have to cancel my next flight with them due on 20/5/20 - good luck

I have seats booked for a flight on 14 May. In the very unlikely event that it did actually go ahead, I wouldn't be able to go.
I am inclined therefore to accept either the vouchers or a transfer before 1 May, because holding on for cancellation and refund is a gamble (albeit a good one).
Mine are scheduled for the 5th/6th and will clearly have to be cancelled at some point given that lockdown doesn’t end til 7th at earliest, so I’ll let you know when I get the official cancellation through in case it’s any help to your decision. From what BJ was saying this morning I’d put my money onto lockdown being extended again though!
@peadar my 5th may flight is now showing as cancelled and just got an email through. I’ve applied for a refund. Let’s see how long it takes to come through :)

No word on 6th May yet though so I guess that means they are working a week ahead...

I've just used the link provided by @peadar to cancel our outbound flight to Crete on May 12th. I presume that Easyjet will cancel the return flight (on the 19th May) next week?

Will I get confirmation of my refund request?

The form doesn't say this, but my understanding is that it is to be completed to apply for a refund once easyjet actually cancels your flight (via email and/or 'My Bookings'). Prior to that, it's either vouchers or rebooking.
  • Hello. I have a package holiday booked with easyJet due to travel August to Turkey. I have paid my deposit only, and the remaining balance is due to be paid the beginning of June. I have had a email today from easyJet advising me if I don’t pay the remaining balance I will receive a credit on my account for my deposit. I don’t wish to travel this year, and I won’t be paying the remaining balance. Due to the current circumstances do I have to accept this credit or am I able to ask for a refund back? Or can I claim through my credit card? Any help be appreciated.

Have flights to Ibiza booked for 20th May... any idea of the days in advance of a flight that Easyjet are cancelling their them?
Our accommodation is booked, but without a deposit as we are friends with those with the accommodation. However I would like to give them as much notice as possible to tell them we cant go. TBH Im not sure they would want us there considering the circumstances.
