I've got the same question re Easyjet, can anybody help?56645sea said:Hello sorry to jump on this thread but does anyone know if easyjet can facilitate a booking to be split. Some of my relatives on the booking made by my brother wish to change and book a later date others wish to keep original fare/flight booked and have the option of obtaining refund or voucher once the flight is cancelled? Please help anyone aware if this is possible or if similar airlines do this? ThanksActually I've just found the answer to my own question, putting it on here to help anyone else in the same position:
Flight changes can be made onto any routes at any available dates but the number of passengers assigned to the booking will remain the same.
Any changes made apply to all passengers on each booking.
We regret that partial transfers, vouchers or refunds cannot be processed for the original booking.2 -
Good morning we were due to fly to Majorca on 21st March 2020 but EasyJet cancelled our flight. They advised us that we could move our flight or get a full refund. We opted for the full refund and were sent confirmation that our refund could take up to seven days but haven’t repaid us. I sent them a message but they ignored that, I tried calling them but after spending a considerable time on the phone it cut off! We originally booked our holiday in September 2019 and they have had our money since then. I am seventy - two years old, partially sighted and my husband and I are finding this extremely distressing. We are in despair, what else can we do?

Just checking to see have you logged into your easyJet account online to see whether the flight still appears there (as opposed to checking on the app which has less information)? You may need to re-apply for your refund using the web form that others have posted above - in fact I’d say it would do no harm to do that in any case, the form is pretty simple and you will get an email confirmation that you’ve submitted it which might make you feel better besides anything else. I have a feeling that they may have changed policy after the first wave of cancellations and that some requests for refunds have been lost - I think this has happened to us. Please try not to get too distressed about it though, I think the flights will be refunded in the end, it might just take a while.werrington said:Good morning we were due to fly to Majorca on 21st March 2020 but EasyJet cancelled our flight. If you transfer to a much more expensive flight "without having to pay any fare difference", you “will not be eligible for a refund in the event of flight cancellation”.
The Independent recently ran this email (that so many of us received) as an 'exclusive' (!) story, heading it with precisely the example I had in mind ("the so-called 'Martini' offer means a passenger with a £40 hop across the Irish Sea and back could swap for a £900 return to Cyprus").
They don't mention the catch (no refund on transferred bookings in the event of flight cancellation), but I've heard that the journalist (Simon Calder) believes this only applies to cancellation by the passenger.
I don't see any basis for this in the wording "Bookings transferred or issued with vouchers will not be eligible for a refund in the event of flight cancellation": it's flight cancellation, not booking. If it meant bookings, they've already been mentioned in the sentence and could've been referred back to. One basis might be that it would be illegal?

I have seats booked for a flight on 14 May. In the very unlikely event that it did actually go ahead, I wouldn't be able to go.
I am inclined therefore to accept either the vouchers or a transfer before 1 May, because holding on for cancellation and refund is a gamble (albeit a good one).0 -
Mine are scheduled for the 5th/6th and will clearly have to be cancelled at some point given that lockdown doesn’t end til 7th at earliest, so I’ll let you know when I get the official cancellation through in case it’s any help to your decision. From what BJ was saying this morning I’d put my money onto lockdown being extended again though!peadar said:I have seats booked for a flight on 14 May.
