Have I got this bit right?? Anyone what would have been entitled to have the flu jab is regarded as being in the 'vulnerable' category and should self-isolate for 12 weeks?6 -

Is that what he said?, because that is all NHS staff for a starters.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.4 -

Also heard that we were being "asked" - ie not "told" or "ordered". These are suggestions. Double whew! No "unnecessary travel", rather than "no travel". Well it is "necessary" to get on a bus and go and fetch back some of my belongings tomorrow that have had some work on them and it isn't yet "end of the week" - so I'll be able to catch my bus and get my belongings back okay.

That's the last one of my social life things that has just been cancelled for the duration. Might as well drop off the face of the earth now I feel.
It's starting to wear a bit thin already telling myself "At least I'm not in a house share with total strangers and I do have a passable size garden - and I can go out for walks and more walks until life is back to normal". I never was a patient person and the thought of having to wait what looks like it could be a few months to get back to normal living again has made me decide one of tomorrow's purchases is definitely going to include bottle of wine "sorrows for the drowning of". Rant over - it can't go on for long...it can't go on for long.....boy am I ever going to have a celebratory bottle of champagne when the social events come rolling back on again and life is back to normal again.
Quick practical query that I wonder if anyone knows the answer to - and that is that I'm wondering if we're all going to turn into scruffs come a few weeks time or no? I've got horrible visions of only "necessary" shops remaining open - which certainly means we'll be okay for food shops and pharmacies - but what about hairdressers? I gather the Spanish have deemed hairdressers to be "necessity shops that must remain open". Any ideas on whether our Government will agree to that and we can still get our hair cut as usual? (Very necessary for those of us that don't have long "curtains" of hair that won't notice anyway).

Don't know about hairdressers but I've had both my routine dental inspection and eye test, both due next month, cancelled. Wonder what happens if you lose a filling or a crown falls off.....? Starting to feel really despondent now - going to cheer myself up tomorrow with a bottle of wine and a box set binge!4

Are people really worrying about hair dresser appointments. I'm worrying about paying the rent, council tax and buying food if I can't work for weeks. And that life won't go back to normal any time soon with lots of people out of work all chasing jobs.11

I’m due for a bone graft at the dentist next month. I hope that won’t be cancelled at its supposed to be time critical. I guess I’ll have to give them a call sometime. I have a hair appointment booked, but i’m expecting it to be cancelled. I might have to DIY the colour for a bit.1

Hope you can get your bone graft done greenbee. Surely if it's time critical it's classed as an emergency?I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

Well I got the much awaited 'get your state pension' letter today - 6 1/2 years later than expected, now all I have to do is live long enough to receive the first payment in July. MrB finally agreed to take this seriously today and we shall be self isolating from tomorrow, his first plan was to build a shed (for tools not isolation
) but I have put a stop to that due to all the visits to wood yard and ironmongers. We have local businesses so it wouldn't be as bad as going to B&Q but he will have to try and stay sane some other way. He deals with any crisis by making something so it could be an interesting few months.
Scary times! Virtual hugs to all.Slightly bitter6
