Lol - I can speak English now!Really good tip.
Today I opened a second Halifax account with a contactless card to give to anyone who shops for me. I will only transfer as much money as they need. Getting cash is going to be hard and I don’t want to handover my main bank all the time.
I hope this helps8 -

Dehumidifyer?I don’t like to give any medical advice whatsoever so I would suggest that maybe you google it.Are used to live in an area that was a popular spa- a salt mine where people with lung diseases would come for therapy.
My breathing has definitely improved since I’ve been following the lung exercises. There is also advice about how to cough effectively 😂😂 Seriously - I have an annoyingly stupid problem with my back so I have to be really careful and often I can’t cough productively! Many of us are going to have a lot of time on our hands for the next three months so check some of these things out 😃8 -

Many thanks to everyone who offered their thoughts on decamping and going to stay with a friend for the foreseeable future. This has helped to confirm for me that it probably would not be a good idea, (for either of us!). Had a long chat with said friend last night and we have decided to leave things for a few days and see what happens. Then, if and when the time is right, I will go and stay for a few says at a time - say for a long week-end - and then return home. I would be making the 50 mile journey non stop by car so barring anything unforeseen I would not be in contact with anyone from departure to arrival. My friend is in a similar situation to myself - living alone - so it would be nice to have some human company for a little while and we would make sure we were both feeling fit and well at the time. Does this sound like a reasonable and acceptable plan? I thought I would do an online grocery shop to take with me but having checked all the big supermarkets round here there is now a 3 week wait for a slot! I hope the proposal to give priority slots to vulnerable self-isolators is quickly implemented.9

Miró said:Don't know about hairdressers but I've had both my routine dental inspection and eye test, both due next month, cancelled. Wonder what happens if you lose a filling or a crown falls off.....? Starting to feel really despondent now - going to cheer myself up tomorrow with a bottle of wine and a box set binge!
I don't understand why there would be (any more) problems than usual with dentists and optician appointments? They can't turn to and act like doctors or nurses instead for the duration. They CAN only do their own skills - and so why would there be any problems with them and I can't see any logic to that.
Thankfully, I am personally up-to-date in that respect - but I will certainly expect to go in as normal for my appointments with them (even bearing in mind that someone else reported their dentist was refusing to treat them "because they are over 70" - huh!!!!???). I'm capable of "camping out" and refusing to budge until I get dealt with as normal personally - but I know some wouldnt be physically able or arent that capable of "standing up for themselves and arguing back" if need be.
So why has there been some of that going on?5 -

There is also a shortage of protective equipment. I'd have thought all this would have been obvious to you. That said I took my aged parent to a hospital eye clinic yesterday, in and out very quickly, and only some of the clinicians were masked up, perhaps because their role involved closer proximity. This really isn't a time to be standing up for your rights to infect other people or them infect you..

This is not the time to be selfish. I'll leave that with you. Calm minds and all that...
Why am I in this handcart and where are we going ?12 -
It’s time to get real! My son has gone down with a temperature and cough this morning so the NHS is one nurse down for the next fortnight!I was talking to my ex husband the other day and we agreed, that in my case, if I’m going to self isolate it has to be 100% or don’t bother.
Son works on a low risk ward and has not been in contact with anyone obviously ill. It will be interesting to see which of his friends, patients and co-workers go down with it - obviously I hope for none8
