Anyone know if Italy and France have closed things like garages. I am getting new tyres put on later in the week, assuming they arrive, but may need to get breaks done and will need an MOT. Unless they want NHS workers to stop going in or be driving illegally . Couldn’t seem to find anything on google about it.
Apologies if I have already posted this here , I have no clue what I am posting where the last 3 days 🙄🤯🤯.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.3 -
I managed to avoid everyone and everything until this evening.I got through the day with diazepam and distraction. I’m really pleased with how much I’ve managed to carry over in the garden from last year😃 And I decided that I was going to talk to my first husband. He’s been trying to convince me for a long time that he’s not a complete !!!!!! and for the first time, I’m actually starting to believe him! 😂
I have a treatment appointment on Friday and after that I’m going into lockdown. Plenty of family and local support. I hope it’s enough to make a difference.5 -
Got a dilemma! I'm supposed to be a self-isolator but a kind friend, (also a SI) has offered to have me to stay for the foreseeable future. I live in a small city apartment with fast broadband, several supermarkets close by who deliver and a busy park opposite. No garden or community spirit or support tho but I would have all my own 'stuff' around me as a distraction. My friend lives in a remote village in a large house with a large garden, has unreliable broadband, no supermarket deliveries available but great community spirit and support likely in the village. Can't make up my mind at all.....!!!! Any thoughts?4

MIRO , but would you not go stir crazy having to live with someone else, n without the net, n easy access to shopping? I know I would"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

It does SOUND nice. But 48 hours in I would be going stir crazy. I stay with a friend once a week & after 24 hours with broadband that may as well not exist , massive space around & not overlooked at all, TV on 24 hours a day (an exaggeration but not too big a one) I just want to go home. To a really quite small home, shared with my son, hardly any garden (I would struggle to get 2 metres away from neighbours if both leant over the fence) TV on maybe a couple of hours a day, 78 broadband & most importantly all my own stuff, eat what I like & when I like. Priceless!

@Miró - You'd really need to have clear rules set out if you stayed with your friend. It would be a huge test. I suggest you stick it out where you are for as long as you can and keep reviewing the situation. TBH if you drive rather than using public transport, unless we go into complete lockdown, you'll be able to move if you need to - particularly back home to being on your own.6

Can anywhere be too isolating at the moment? We have a shepherds hut in the garden and I have started calling it the isolation pod. Threatened to put MrB in there if he so much as coughs

Hi all, looking for some advice on my holiday I have book with tui that's ment to be for may 2nd. I am wanting to know basically if I can cancel my holiday and get a refund. I am currently a Healthcare worker that looks after elderly in their home and understandably families are cancelling calls in order to protect and prevent their own. However this is leaving me financially unstable due to the lack of work and being on a zero-hour contract my hands are tied, I'm just looking for some sort of advice as I am really struggling at the moment and it's having a huge impact on my financial status, my relationship and my mental health.4
