One thing I’ve wondered, and I haven’t read the whole thread, is if, you have breathing difficulties, what would help? Dehumidifyer?4

18.32 EDIT: She thinks so, petrol stations certainly are. We also discussed our pasta shortages: they have only smooth penne left and I could only get paccheri, but she advised me on the best type of sauce! :-)

Hello all longtime lurker here, thank you oceanspirit for this thread it's nice to be able to discuss this awful isolation. I have been going out and being careful until Sunday I was going to go and do one more shop but the way things escalated I had serious thoughts as I have an autoimune condition but I still need to do that shop also I really need a haircut and eyebrow wax also need a leek in the bathroom fixed. I seem to be well at the moment and am trying to decide- I'm not being vain but my painful damaged hands just can't do eyebrow or much stlying to hair and 12 weeks or much more and i'd be in an awful state lol.
Women and cats will do as they please and men and dogs should get used to it.;)

Miró said:Got a dilemma! I'm supposed to be a self-isolator but a kind friend, (also a SI) has offered to have me to stay for the foreseeable future. I live in a small city apartment with fast broadband, several supermarkets close by who deliver and a busy park opposite. No garden or community spirit or support tho but I would have all my own 'stuff' around me as a distraction. My friend lives in a remote village in a large house with a large garden, has unreliable broadband, no supermarket deliveries available but great community spirit and support likely in the village. Can't make up my mind at all.....!!!! Any thoughts?
Now I have said to PN, she is welcome here. I don't know her in RL. only 10 years of posting here and I kind of understand her quirks as they are my own. But we don't know each other. My offer is bedroom/bathroom and a share or the kitchen dining room and of course she's welcome to use living room/ garden etc, it that works for her
I can offer that, because I ( think ) I know her well enough plus my home is big enough that we aren't living on top of each other nor will we be relying on each other for social interaction or whatever
Can you say that about you and your friend? Will you have your own space and be allowed to be who you are without feeling yo have to become a part time family?9 -
