Not sure if this will be helpful to anyone. It’s only short appointments but might be good if people feel overwhelmed:

Can I ask what you are all doing to sanitize shopping my daughter will drop off shopping soon as I am in isolation because of over 70. Are you wiping goods with soapy water or bleach solution? I have aske on the prepping thread but no replies yet.
Women and cats will do as they please and men and dogs should get used to it.;)

If soap and water are ok on your hands then it's ok on the goods, I would think a bleach solution is a little much especially if its perishable goods eg fruit etc.Fruit and veg should be washed anyway

Thanks for replies nice to know what others are doing I washed my last lot of shopping with dish wash and hot water they say the virus can stay on plastic , cardboard etc so it seems to make sense as soap is supposed to kill it. I don't know if I'm making sense anymore it's panicking lol trying to keep some sense of humour in very serious times.

No need to explain yourself, you have to do what's best for yourself, keep safe x

Hi I hope someone can answer this for me. My understanding is that I have to self-isolate as I am diabetic (and disabled). I am currently claiming jobseekers allowance which requires me to attend the job centre every 2 weeks. Does anyone know if I will still need to attend? Very confused at the moment4

I'm semi isolating, as I have to see to my Dad every day. He has some serious health issues, so I'm concerned about him. The rest of the family are also in the 'at risk' group, so I will be doing online food shopping and making do with the alternatives they send! Other than popping out to Dad's, I'm staying put. I don't know how else I can do it, as he says he doesn't need any other help, but I do his small amount of shopping, washing, keep track of meds etc.... He has carers to help him in and out of the bath but nothing else. I'm going to keep calm and carry on for as long as I can, and pray that we all keep well.

Our worlds have been turned for the worse, my daughter and grandson delivered my shopping and as arranged put it on doorstep and moved back to a safe distance I could hear my grandson saying it's weird leaving things on Nan's doorstep and I felt even more weird talking to them on the garden. He said I'll come around again and talk to you from the pavement.I know we must all be missing the easy going visits from our much loved families - I am let's pray we all ge through this and can hug our families again xWomen and cats will do as they please and men and dogs should get used to it.;)
