Thanks for that, though...... "the ultra-rapid hand dryer, manufactured by the company that funded this study, was “superior” to the warm-air dryers" elicited a cynical  smile.  Wish they had addressed my concern though about the upward 'leak' of warm hair that hits your face even when  trying to lean back out of the way.  Can that cause any malingering nasties be transmitted??

Yeah, that worked well for all those skiiers, cruisers, holidaymakers and jetsetters didn't it  
In times of crisis.... always ensure you are not trapped within a vehicle from which you cannot remove yourself.  

its 1hr flight or 8 hours on the overnight ferry, book a cabin, take a pack up and you don't need to see or talk to anyone on the crossing at all

Isn’t it interesting how many hours of tv scheduling are taken up by mens sporting events at the weekends?
I’d not really noticed before but suddenly lots of unscheduled films are in their place!
No women’s sports shown on a regular basis, of course.

Some areas of the country seem to do this more than others! Grrr!

I've lost count of how many times the rest of the country has had normal tv programmes on and I've selected to watch one I fancy - and I can't because this area of the country has got sport on that channel instead!!!!! Personally - I call it sexist when that happens.

You can call it anything you like, though 'sexist' seems to be very far removed from what it actually is!

I'm loving this thread already.I have severe asthma, so am being really really careful,  about avoiding the risk of catching the virus .
Mum is 76, fit as a fiddle , n isn't happy about the idea of having to self isolate for 4 months!! She's usually gadding about every day with her mates

Beating OH at Scrabble on the second day of us keeping out of the way was perhaps not the best idea.  I think the hm soup we had afterwards eased the blow a bit as he quite enjoyed that.  I'm loving that a couple of you have decided to sign up for study courses - I think having something to focus on will help us through what is happening around us.  It is all feeling a bit surreal today as everything at home seemed to be like a fairly normal Sunday.  We were wondering what life will be like after the threat of this virus is over.  It will certainly be different as unless there is a vast rescue package, many businesses will disappear and loads of other changes may take place.

Major barney with Mrs Un this evening down to anxiety & Keppra. My advice tonight - clear the air  with loved ones - address those nagging fears. The next two weeks are going to be carnage so sit doen tomorrow morning and figure out how to handle online deliveries, gaps in prep, and how you going to manage in months 3 & 4 should it come to that. My feeling is that for the 4 monthers life should be s little easier after say a month because panic buying is wrecking our supply chain
To those on Keppra (I'm on steroids too!) take a little timr to further manage those side effects - Keppra tips  (& anecdotes most welcome here)

I had very reassuring chats with one third of my children today- Unsurprisingly their father,  my first husband! 

Thankfully unlike me they have all set up for partners way above their own income bracket! They’ve all got a plan and I will thought about each other.
