I could self isolate for 14 days but not 12 weeks.
i could observe social distancing for 12 weeks maybe, but would have to travel in my car to and from my partner (50 miles away) every weekend. But he would be practising social distancing too so only risking each other’s health with consent.
i am really convinced very very few people could self isolate for 12 weeks.:A Goddess :A7 -

However, now it's been suggested it seems impossible.

It really depends on how much people still want to be around when this is over, whenever that might be? I will do whatever it takes for however long it takes to be one of them, it will be grim, it will be maddening and it will be very lonely but I will do it!14

We went for a dog walk today, I need to do a good walk everyday or my back seizes up, just met one man who was so far away we had to shout a cheery 'good morning'. Our son has offered to drop off our newspaper everyday plus any bits we may need from his corner shop and exchange a few words from a safe distance. Our village has no shop, no anything actually but I can see it will make a big difference to the one in his village. Plan to get our bikes working so we can get a bit fitter. MrB has wandered down to his allotment if there is no one about he intends to do some digging.Slightly bitter6

The news have been showing people of, lets say of a certain age, stating they won't comply
Let’s hope then that the ones who won't or don't comply don't get ill. If you do then don't go to hospital wailing as it was your doing in the 1st place
The Daily Wail are showing people still going out to the pubs etc., well foolish behaviour and it puts others at risk. I for one am in the vulnerable category and indeed to comply

You may call it flouting, but we went to our local small independent cinema last night. They had a special showing of a film which they had sold out of in advance, only about a third of people turned up, so there was plenty of opportunity to distance yourself from others if you wanted to. We are very concerned that without our support for as long as we are able to, we may lose our cinema forever. There are difficult choices to make. Don't assume people are being selfish for wanting to continue to help support their local business. If the Government really wanted to stop people visiting these places, they should have compelled them to close.

While its only common sense to self isolate if you want to be here to tell the tale after its all over I realy think a lot will be left with depression and the divorce rate will spiral.
Afterall the first week of January sees solictors overwhelmed with couples applying for divorce after being forced together for just a week over the Christmas period so goodness knows what any longer will cause.

The big difference now, though, is that there is a common ‘enemy’ to rail against, and everyone is in the same boat.Ellieduval said:While its only common sense to self isolate if you want to be here to tell the tale after its all over I realy think a lot will be left with depression and the divorce rate will spiral.

I love it that my DH working at home - Im very lucky. However 2 adult sons at home is a different matter!I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.5
