Do you get on with your neighbours enough to pay them to add items for you on their shopping list?

We are running out of food, terrified to go to a large supermarket and only use our local co-op, which has shortened its hours, so it becomes more crowded.
Do you drive Andygb and do you have a Sainsburys nearby? Both of my local Sainsburys stores have lots of click and collect slots for tomorrow and Wednesday. They have all just become available, they weren't there yesterday. It appears they are releasing the slots a couple of days in advance.

We do drive, but we went to our nearest Sainsburys three weeks ago and it was a total nightmare - 2 metre queueing outside the tore, then complete chaos inside.
Ah, I have just seen you mention "click and collect", does this mean you prepay and then simply collect from a special part of the store?
We managed to buy some stuff from the Co-op at 7:00 this morning - only one other customer so not at all bad.

Is there a Morrison's near you? They have click & collect where you sit in car & they load it. Not used it personally but on their web site

Oh, the irony! This morning, having spent several fruitless weeks trying to get a 'slot' with Ocado, I was immediately waltzed straight in and offered a delivery for tomorrow. I couldn't believe my luck!

The ironic bit? Apparently Ocado has less stock than my local Cost Cutter. After five minutes virtual plodding round their site looking at 'out of stock' messages, I gave up. Come to think of it, they're  not much cheaper than my local Cost Cutter - which will be something to remember when (if) house arrest is lifted.

You should be able to "book another delivery" - there should be a button to click somewhere. You'd have to actually go into your existing order to change it, so booking another slot shouldn't change any other orders.

    Thank you
But if I did that wouldn't I lose my original slot?

I am one of these people as well. Both my OH and I suffer from respiratory ailments, which leave us in a right state, even with just a cold. We haven't been able to get any online deliveries at all, despite trying six different chains.

Somehow one of our neighbours gets two or more deliveries a week and they are just a couple.
If you are still struggling to get online deliveries, are worried about going to supermarkets (have you tried the tip about checking the quiet/busy times of your supermarket by searching for it on maps.google.co.uk?), and haven't got anyone who can help by doing the shopping for you, please consider looking up the Covid-19 Mutual Aid groups, find your local group and ask for some help with shopping. https://covidmutualaid.org

No, as you have one order placed and would be looking to place another order.

I have heard Tesco at the moment aren't offering further slots if you've already got one booked, not sure how true that is.
