We order stuff from Asda sometimes as they don't charge us for delivery, but lots of the ready meals etc we are used to are Tesco's own brand. It can be annoying having to try various supermarket own brand meals for the first time, to see if you like them, especially when on limited income. We have tried some for instance which were virtually inedible.badger09 said:KxMx said:Right so if you are on the Priority register (with the all day slots) that must mean the £3, 4 hour flexi slots aren't available.
I posted an image earlier in the thread showing the £3 flexi slots I can access, we are not on the Priority register.
@ScousePaul
I don't know if its any use to you, but I've just posted on another thread that I've just now managed to register as a new customer on Sainsbury's website, and booked a delivery for Wednesday evening. Cost would have been only 50p, but as I was stocking up on wine from their offer I spent over £100 so delivery was free.
CAVEAT I've no idea how good or bad Sainsburys deliveries are, and if you spend less than £40, delivery costs £7.

Try inputting your address differently. For example, if you live at number 42 try 0042. This sometimes works (but sometimes not).

Bottom line is either you're happy to pay £4.50 for the privilege of paying for one of the most expensive food supermarkets to deliver your items or you buy from a cheaper supermarket and probably get a cheaper price on your items and delivery; everyone has a choice; there are other supermarkets around after all for deliveries - Morrisons, Sainsburys, Asda, Co-op; soon M&S (assuming Ocado get their act together); as well as local suppliers like butchers.1
