The nearest store is at least 45 minutes away, would cost at least £25, but am looking at if a friend can take me but not possible yet.

Has anyone found this problem, I can get a slot at my old address 10 minutes walk away, my friend can get a slot 5 minutes walk away. At least 50 slots available for both address, I get nothing at all, has been for days now. All address are in the same town, same postcode area.  I have previously been able to get a slot, as my friend has. I could get plenty of choice for click and collect, but have no car so not an option. I have phoned them and they tell me there is nothing they can do, but wait for a slot to show.
Can't you try another supermarket? Asda doesn't have a monopoly, they're not the only shop in town. Most supermarkets have delivery passes too, where you pay so much per month and delivery ends up being very cheap. Shop around (pun intended) online. You're bound to find a better deal.

I have the school government vouchers to use at asda if it wasn't for that I would be going to a different supermarket.

I still haven’t been able to get a single delivery slot, either for myself or my shielding parents, with any supermarket. Absolutely disgusted with the lot of them.

you can sign up to Tesco and you can also sign up to Delivery Saver so you will be able to see slots ahead of people who aren't on delivery saver.

I should have added, that you only need to set up one Tesco account and one delivery saver account as they will deliver to multiple addresses.

Thanks, I didn’t know about seeing slots earlier or delivery to multiple addresses.
My daughter has delivery saver and early on in the lockdown it was suspended and the subscription payments were put on hold/refunded, so I didn’t think they were doing it anymore.

Yes, they re-started it a couple of weeks ago.  Your daughter should now be able to see slots 4 weeks ahead and also book multiple deliveries a week and also to different addresses.  Until a couple of weeks ago she would only have been able to book 1 delivery a week and to only one address a week.

I know she’s getting deliveries again now but wasn’t sure it was the same everywhere (she lives 45 minutes away from me).
My neighbour, who used to have a Tesco delivery, still hasn’t been able to get a slot but I’m not sure if she has Delivery Saver.
    Definitely sounds worth further investigation.
