Al Rayan have stated the  auhentication app can't be used until tomorrow (11th March), hence why their is maintenance currently being undertaken tonight on the website.

Let's hope this DOES work Tomorrow!
Tried this morning and still no joy with the authenticator app ( soft token) "An internal error occurred with code: -4999."
The iOS version isn't even in the app store yet.

Error 403 - This web app is stopped.

The web app you have attempted to reach is currently stopped and does not accept any requests. Please try to reload the page or visit it again soon.

That is the message that I have got after clicking "View new APp visa Desktop".

It's working perfectly for me though I have not tried it in the middle of the night. It is possible that it had crashed when you tried to use it.

Well I know that I could connect my Mobile device using HDMI, I have done that many times to watch video clips.
But a mobile device is not a substitute for a workstation. What about keyboard, what about the mouse, what about the speed??

I think you might be vastly over-thinking things. To use the Al Rayan app in a browser, you simply go to https://www.alrayanbank.co.uk/ click on 'log in' and you're presented with a new screen - and  "view new app via desktop".
My bold, best to be comprehensive in the circumstances...
Albeit I can access it in a browser (Edge) It doesn't allow me to do anything, other than view account balances on the first screen... Oh, and logout works.. lol

It all works perfectly for me, in Chrome and in Edge. My browsers are the vanilla versions, as released by Google / MS. I can do everything  (and even a tiny bit more) as in the mobile app.

It does state you have to have a minimum of £500 to qualify for the 1.6%

Where does it state this? I can't see it.
Just click the + sign on Features & Benefits.
OK. I give up. It doesn't "state you have to have a minimum of £500 to qualify for the 1.6%"

So what's your interpretation of the minimum £500?

"I just tried it  a few minutes ago the link to "View new app via desktop" has disappeared.

I wonder why do they need a separate app for this ? Why is not just incorporated in their existing mobile banking Apps.

The "View new app via desktop" is available to me, in Google Chrome, as of a minute ago, and I can do everything (and more) I can do in the mobile app. See screenshot below. I suppose they should call it "Use new app...." rather than "View new app......."

I am not sure what you mean by "....why do they need a separate app for this. Why is not just incorporated in their existing mobile banking Apps" - can you elaborate?

I am not interpreting anything. I am just saying I have seen nothing on that page [which is all about V2, 1% AER] that says I won't get 1.6% if my balance is less than £500. Not that I would worry about my interest rate if my balance did fall below £500. 1.6% of £500 is £8 a year.
