After a 3-week drama to get it going again after one of their upgrades, the app is still working for me but they are refusing to continue to provide the SO functionality on their Everyday Branch Saver account.
I have several dozen SOs which I can no longer even see now since they have now blocked my access to their old online banking without any prior personal warning. As luck will have it, I do have screenshots of those SOs. They also told me that I can use telephone, or Branch, banking if I need to modify or stop any of my SOs, or if I want to set up any new ones. This is highly unsatisfactory in the digital age!
I have experimented with future dated payments and found that- in the app on the phone/tablet, it is impossible to set up more than 1 future-dated payment to the same recipient
- in the desktop-version of the app, you can set up 2 future-dated payments to the same recipient, and that's it.

Thanks for your personal experience as always colsten.
I will try the app one more time! tomorrow. If it doesn't work, I will withdraw all the money into a 1.49% paying account. I only have one SO a month set-up, so no real hardship for me to overcome.0 -
tel_ said:So, I thought I'd try and register via the banking app today, and tried to log in with my User Detail ID. Unfortunately, I thought I entered my details correctly, but it doesn't recognise them (but that could be my fault, I don't have them recorded anywhere).
I decided to then try and register with Visual ID (which I didn't really want to do), but guess what? The app keeps stopping & crashing.
Fortunately, I can still log in the old way via my PC.
I just wanted to know are people still having issues accessing their accounts using the app, or have you managed to sort things out eventually?
I'm thinking of withdrawing all my money out now and transferring it to another provider. Al Rayan pays me 1.6%, but I'm guessing this won't last much longer.
Another benefit is you can see all your FT, holding & savings ac.s instantly it opens on the 'dashboard'.
It's also wayyy quicker loading than desk top login.

I also uninstalled and then reinstalled the app for another 'go'.
You prob know this but FTAOD: Allow the app to access to your camera and to make calls otherwise AR's process wont be able to recognise your device and won't complete the install.

Tried to register with the app again today and it still crashes & disappears off the screen.
I don't have the enthusiasm or confidence in them even if I try to ring them next week for a hard token. And what are the chances of me receiving it by 13th March? Not great I imagine.
Kent reliance are sill paying me 1.49% even after a year & 4/5 months after I opened it, so I think it's only fair I transfer my dosh to them for their loyalty.0 -
I've today set up access using the hard token device, so far so good!
They said I should try to activate my mobile device using the app again a week or so after receipt of the hard token device but I don't think I'll bother and just leave things as they are. I might try again when/if people start reporting that the app is working smoothly.0 -
They still have Wednesday 13th March as the last day to register on their Mobile Banking page of their website, instead of the correct day - Friday 13th March. http://https//www.alrayanbank.co.uk/mobile-banking-app/
Their image projected is just so poor!0 -

The website returned an error message half way through registering mine and I had to wait a few days to be connected to the Digital Banking Team before finally being able to set up access.
It wasn't a user friendly process! Luckily, I only look at the account once a month to check the profit payment - that said, I'm not looking forward to the next time and am (I regret to say) anticipating that there might be problems....... but......I could be wrong! Hope springs eternal!

Their image projected is just so poor!I note they have not specified the year. However, in the likely event it is a mistake, someone with a sense of irony must have picked that date.0 -
Set up was a bit of a faff but access is much easier after initial set up albeit a little odd. Fingers crossed there are no hiccups going forward, I won't hold my breath but we live in hope!1
