al rayan — Online banking is being switched off

Odd, isn't it, that you think you need to make people aware of allegations against an islamic bank, whilst you don't warn people of potentially untoward matters going on in other banks. Also odd that you jump onto a thread about a change to Al Rayan's login procedure to issue your warning.water4444 said:I think anyone putting money into this bank should be aware of the allegations made.
Anyway, thank you for your concern. I shall look forward to your suggestions how we can successfully register for the Al Rayan app.2 -
"......we will contact you back by 13 March ........ "d63 said:seems like they have pushed back the deadline to 13th march now:
https://www.alrayanbank.co.uk/
and they also have set up some kind of digital banking call-back system for people who cannot wait for someone to answer the phone.
They must be having a laugh!!!!
Although it's potentially good news that they have now postponed their switch for another week.0 -
My friend, It is not odd at all, why are you so keen to bury this? equally the same could be said for you appearing to not wanting information about the allegations on the thread. If you look at my original post, I was responding to a poster who was talking about benefits of the bank and reasons to stay with them.colsten said:

What "warning" are you referring to? I have shown no concern, I am just making people aware of the allegations. I am quite sure members of the forum can decide for themselves, hence I did not advise anyone to do anything.
What untoward matters going on in other banks do you refer to? I cannot recall any other British bank with such allegations against them. I am sure most banks have "something" untoward in their history at some point, but to this level? I am not aware of such things but I may be wrong.1 -
I know all that thanks, I have both types plus another not mentioned.mike_robert said:In reply to Soulsaver, it appears that the account types (Saver for example) have different formats. Deposit accounts have 13 numbers split into three groups. Hence the the lunacy of just asking for 'account number'. Any normal bank has a single account number of eight digits which cannot possibly confuse anyone.
I wasn't disputing what you say - just adding a bit more, that may be useful for some (who don't have ftbs.

not sure if this is a browser problem i am having, but it seems like each time i look at al rayan's webpage at
https://www.alrayanbank.co.uk/
there is a different phone number in the main header to call. like so far it has come up with:
0808 256 5788
0808 159 6912
0808 278 7007
0808 115 4353
plus a few others i have noticed as well. what are these people up to?
just gets more and more weird!

Really? The only number I ever see is 0800 408 6407.Perhaps your device has been compromised. Can't see how it could be a "browser problem". What do you see at https://www.alrayanbank.co.uk/useful-info-tools/about-us/contact-us/ ?

I have noticed different telephone numbers too, roughly 3 different numbers but didn't make a note of them.0

Looks like it isn't a compromised browser, but a tracker service they've embedded in their site. My browser is blocking the offending script:
Looking at the javascript, this is clearly re-writing the phone numbers, amongst other things. This "responsetap" website https://www.responsetap.com/ suggests they are a call tracking service and gives information about how and why they are tracking you.I think I'll leave my tracking protection enabled
