20th century Nokia phone
My little early 21st century Nokia phone suits my purposes and functions perfectly.....which is more than I can say for the "hard token".

do they give a manufacturer and model number for the device? judging from the pictures and dimensions wheres_my_cashback most helpfully provided, it would appear to be a vasco digipass 770.
... and if it does turn out to be too much of a hassle to use and one ends up emptying ones account, one does at least end up with 2 free (slightly used) AAA batteries.0 -
Think it's my turn now. Been trying to log into the IOS App since yesterday evening. Logs in with FaceID and just sits there at the "Please wait, authenticating ... "
Anyone else? Been working without any issues since moving to the App.If I've help in anyway, please remember to thank me :-)0 -
Same here, from the website-"Unfortunately, we are currently experiencing an issue with our Mobile Banking app. We hope to have this resolved shortly and apologise for any inconvenience. You can still make payments and check balances through our Telephone Banking Service or by visiting your nearest branch."

I am puzzled by the overall concept of the customers' options for remote access to the bank's system (ie non-branch & non-telephone banking). I can understand that maybe the bank has been attracted by the concept of mobile-only banking offered by other banks such as Monzo, Starling, etc - at least it must have the attraction to the board that the cost of developing and supporting a parallel desktop/browser-based on-line access system can be eliminated. Maybe, the board believes that losing the "fuddy-duddy" customers who can't or won't use a smartphone is a lesser price than maintaining a browser-based system. But what seems to be being offered is an additional browser-based system but accessible to a user only by operating either a smartphone or "hard-token" device - where are the cost savings? I suspect that the bank has an IT department which has been seduced by the technology options without regard to the potential impact that a less-than-perfect solution would have upon customers.

I was transferred to the Digital Banking Team and have at last managed to register the hard token.1

So, I thought I'd try and register via the banking app today, and tried to log in with my User Detail ID. Unfortunately, I thought I entered my details correctly, but it doesn't recognise them (but that could be my fault, I don't have them recorded anywhere).
I decided to then try and register with Visual ID (which I didn't really want to do), but guess what? The app keeps stopping & crashing.
Fortunately, I can still log in the old way via my PC.
I just wanted to know are people still having issues accessing their accounts using the app, or have you managed to sort things out eventually?
I'm thinking of withdrawing all my money out now and transferring it to another provider. Al Rayan pays me 1.6%, but I'm guessing this won't last much longer.0
