al rayan — Online banking is being switched off

    At least it does for me - unless I am misunderstanding how this should work?
    Utterly confusing - my hard token still hasn't arrived so don't have that option either ...

    It is quite annoying really. I have spent reasonable amount of time diverting many SOs from BOS to Al rayan and now they want to switch off their online banking and are forcing people to use their apps. If you get used to with workstation connected to dual wide screen monitors, it is very uncomfortable to switch it to mobile apps.

    You can use the app on your comfortable wide screen. That's not the issue.

    The real issue is that you can't see, cancel or modify your SOs any longer. Have you complained to Al Rayan about this?

    Well I know that I could connect my Mobile device using HDMI, I have done that many times to watch video clips. 
    But a mobile device is not a substitute for a workstation. What about keyboard, what about the mouse, what about the speed??
    I have expressed my dissatisfaction to Al Rayan over the phone. 
    I have installed their apps and it is running now. But I think I will just let all of my RSAs which are fed from Al rayan to mature and not replacing them. I am not going to spend more time to cancel it and set up a new one from another account.

    Al Rayan have stated the  auhentication app can't be used until tomorrow (11th March), hence why their is maintenance currently being undertaken tonight on the website.

    Let's hope this DOES work Tomorrow!

    That is the message that I have got after clicking "View new APp visa Desktop".

    I remember somewhere I read about "soft token", about hard token could you oreder it over the phone ??

    Tried this morning and still no joy with the authenticator app ( soft token) "An internal error occurred with code: -4999."

    I think you might be vastly over-thinking things. To use the Al Rayan app in a browser, you simply go to https://www.alrayanbank.co.uk/ and "view new app via desktop".
