I had the stuck on the authenticating message last Monday, which went away.
This Monday it just shuts down when trying to log on.
No ability to modify my SOs with the App, plus the anticipation of a support call taking up to an hour is making this feel not at all worth it for 1.6%  :#

I have the new App installed and I need to download my 'recent transactions' and pass them on to my Solicitor.

The monthly statements download in .pdf format which is fine.

However, ‘recent transactions’ will only download in CSV format to a spreadsheet which the Solicitor won’t accept due to the lack of detail.

Anyone know if it’s possible to download ‘recent transactions’ as a pdf file ?

Yes. It seems rather involved but it can be done. There might be other, less complicated, ways

    1. In the app, and assuming you use Google Drive
      1. Bottom right corner on your Al Rayan transactions list, click on the cloud icon.
      2. On the next screen, click on the square with the upwards arrow in the top right corner
      3. on the next screen, select Google Drive
      4. upload the document to a suitable location in Google Drive. It will upload your file as a .xlsm

then on a PC, open your uploaded file in Google Drive, and "Print to PDF"
    2. if you are still alive by now, you'll have a perfect .PDF of your transaction list in your chosen folder on your PC

NB. I wish it was easier to format posts on this forum  :#:#:#

oh heavens, just had an email about an authenticator app to use to access ones accounts online.
    there is more information here:
    https://www.alrayanbank.co.uk/authenticator
but does this mean you don't have to register for a new password and ID, but continue with the old one?
    oh what IS going on??

It's a little confusing but it appears the authenticator is an alternative to the Hard Token, for those who don't want to, or are unable to use the mobile app. It also looks useful if there is a requirement for more than one person to access the account (e.g. business accounts), and it's a bit of a concession to people who aren't on up-to-date mobile operating systems and gadgets.

So if you have the app up and running, you won't need the authenticator. It might, however, still be useful to have it sitting on your phone as a backup, in case the app isn't working. You should then still be able to access online banking through a browser. That's my theory, anyway  :)

Why they have only just thrown this into the melting pot is a different matter - - - doesn't sound as if they have a well thought-through IT strategy.........

Only last night did I transfer all my money out of the Saver account I had with them (Issue 1 paying 1.6%) but left £1 in to keep it open. But find out like many have today, that an authenticator app is now available. Not that I have tried it yet.

That means I've forefitted  my 1.6% as you have to have at least £500 in to qualify.

    Very annoying! 😡

You'd hardly get much interest on £1, anyway!
Are you saying that the profit rate on your account now shows something other than 1.6%? If so, what is the new value? Where in the T&Cs does it say you don't qualify for profit if you have less than £500 in the account? What stops you from paying money back in?

I only left £1 in to keep it active (to receive the interest accrued at the end of the month). And in the meantime write to them to close it.
It does state you have to have a minimum of £500 to qualify for the 1.6%, but I'm guessing if you put it back in you get the maximum interest rate again.

Well, I've downloaded the authenticator app ready for tomorrow.
I take it this Cronto image will be displayed on the website or via email after the planned maintenance later tonight?

We'll  just see if this goes according to plan.
