Morning.  Snap another wet day here too Indie.  Hope you have a restful day with Charlie and Obi to keep you company.  Here it’s all quiet as usual.  DD1 was on FaceTime with GS and normally I would say come over for a meal.  We have not seen them since late August when they came in garden.   Thankfully we have FaceTime.
Firefly hope you are much better.   Pleased the garlic helped.   When at work I used to take a Zinc tablet daily and never had a cold for ages.  Now there’s a lot of talk about vitamin D helping with the virus.  We did try to sit out each day when it was sunny. Need to investigate the vitamin D.
Duncan hope you feet are a lot better.  I think your feet will heal quicker than your Dad’s. Hope you have been able to get out.
Hope everyone has a good weekend.  Take care.

Good Morning from a very wet Fife, it is Poorin Doon!
Well done on all the various wins recently, we are hardly entering any comps again so not really expecting any wins of any kind.
An unexpected day off is great, it gives you a chance to either just do nothing at all or do everything that you have been putting off.

I have been slowly getting back to normal (feet wise) but dad has had a set back, he was up all night on Thursday with tummy trouble and got more that a bit dehydrated and ended up with agonizing leg cramps so Friday's walks were limited and it was painful even to watch him trying to get about the house with the combination of sore feet AND legs :(
The football was cancelled today because of the rain so nothing for me to go out for.
    Take Care.

Hiya everyone,  :) I’ve missed you all and the comps too! I’ve just managed to update my old iPad that’s been lying around so hopefully I can comp again properly. It’s not the same on a phone! Been thinking about what really makes me happy and it was when I was comping so will give it another try. Hope everyone is staying safe x
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!

Wow, I’m not loving this new mse  :/ I thought I couldn’t get on it because of my old iPad but looking at the other threads/chat I see I’m not the only one finding it more tricky. Still, I suppose we have to move with the times. Good to see there are still some familiar compers around though.  :)

Hi wingobins great to ‘see’ you.  It’s been difficult times for all since March and the lockdown.

Here on comps things have looked up since we could change the main board to date order.  https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6182277/good-news-for-end-daters-new-date-sorting-tools#latest.  It’s slightly different on iPad.

To do this under Martin’s pic at top left of page you need Forum home.  Competitions time .
On iPad you need to be in landscape. (iPad on its side). Then
Sort.   Hot   Filter all statuses   Should come up on top left.  If it doesn’t re tap Competitions Time then change sort to closing date and filter to open.
Main board then sorted in date order.
The end dates are at the end about 71 with 00 then 04/10.      Once you have done this you can turn your iPad back to portrait (upright and enter as you wish.).    Hope this makes some sense.
    Will catch up soon.

    Hi All :)
It will take time for Dad to build up to full distance again but we are getting there. It was nice this afternoon with some sunshine but turned cooler again as soon as it set.
Fireworks have started here for some reason and I really hate the noise and once i hear one bang then everything after that sounds like another one from a gate slamming shut to someone kicking a wheelie bin, even Dad's footsteps behind me sound louder when it is dark. Strange thing is that it does not affect me as much when it is dark in the morning.

We have 3 things marked on the calendar for this month, that must be a record for this year and there is still one more event to be arranged, is this what it's like to have a life?

Hi Firefly  pleased to hear you had sunshine today. Pleased you were able to get out.  It was grey, grey grey here today and raining all afternoon.  We had roast dinner today first time for ages so that warmed us up.
Duncan hope your Dad is much better.  Sounds as though he was really poorly and he needs to rest up to get better.  Do take care.
indie hope your day has been reasonable.  It must be difficult to get used to the heating being in again.   We had it warm for so long and now it seems chilly.  We our heating in and then feel sleepy. Need to open the windows.
It’s football here all day more on now.
    Have a good evening all.

Morning, welcome back wingo you have been missed. I know what you mean about using the phone for comps. I try every so often to do them on there but it doesn't help I have fat fingers (that's my excuse and I am sticking to it, lol)We have tablets on the walls at work and laptops at the nurses' stations that we use but I can't use laptops either I am ok on the tablets but so use to using my old PC. Never mind one day I will get used to them all.
Glad to hear your cold is nearly gone ff.
Hope your dad's legs and feet feel better today Duncan. Shame about the football being cancelled but there will be lots more matches played before long.
The rain has been terrible the last few days here but it's stopped at the moment, I am off to work soon. Just done mag dailies as they seem to be fixed now.
    Have a good day
    Stay safe

Terrible rain yesterday but today was sunny.  Thought of you Firefly when we had a coffee in the garden in the sunshine today.  Hope you had sunshine today.    I managed to do quite a bit of pruning and bin is nearly full again.
Duncan hope you are not driving your Dad crazy haring about and he has been able to take you out for a run. Take care.
Ho Indie I’m so used to iPad now that find it difficult on laptop when I have to go on it or DH wants help.  I have very small hands and fingers but when we had a working phone I too found it very small.   My sister did send me a phone in June but I still need to set it up properly.   DH gave our son the IPhone he had when DS’s wouldn’t work.
We had such a good spring and summer we are finding it difficult to adjust to the drop in temperature and rain.  We had heating on but it was warmer out than in.   Comfortable in here now it’s warmed up.
No football tonight quiz shows instead.  None of which we do very well at.
    Stay safe.

    Good Morning All :)
Dad's garden has been a bit neglected this last week or so with it mostly being too wet to work in or him not fit enough to do anything.
Yesterday was wet again and with all this rain I am not getting to the football park as it is built on reclaimed land and very prone to flooding, doubly bad as I also don't get on the long lead to get my legs stretched a bit. It has been mostly short lead walks but at least we are covering the ground, Dad keeps forgetting things at the shops so we have to go back just about every day.
