    Morning All
The feet are a diabetes thing FF, he has good and bad days but it is becoming more bad now and he has even given up contacting the GP about it.
We are off the the Town park and Riverside park today and possibly through the woods to Leslie if the path is OK.
    Take Care.

Duncan’s Dad so sorry to hear about your feet you should contact your GP.  I think many GP’s are doing telephone or FaceTime consultations.   I think you have been great changing your diet I know how hard that is as we have been trying it here.   You are doing more than plenty of exercise.  I’m sure you have comfortable footwear or you would not be able to walk so far.  You might need a change in your medication.  Do you see a diabetic nurse?   As we care I am going to say please don’t ignore this.
Duncan hope you have some good walks today before the weather changes.  Looks like this will be our last hot day.  We have been so fortunate with the weather this spring and summer.

Firefly we miss the vouchers Tesco used to send.  Sainsbury’s food is definitely dearer and the quality is not superior.  Tesco is definitely better for fruit and veg.   Sainsbury’s did send us some money off vouchers this month but we had to spend a lot.  We stocked up on cupboard things on their offers.  On the plus side you can find £1 delivery slots.

Indie hope you have restful day off and Obi has settled in.
For those of us with last hot day hope you all enjoy it.

Duncan please tell your Dad I’m sorry if I spoke out of turn.  I can go OTT at times, especially when talking in lockdown it’s gone to writing too.   I’m sure he knows what he is doing about his condition.

Just found a message that I’ve won some plants on twitter.  I think I only entered this morning.  Not even sure what they will be so will be a surprise when they appear.  Need to prepare the space I’ve made between the shrubs.

    Good Morning All :)
Well done on the plants win leanfun :star:
Re: the feet, it is diabetic neuropathy that Dad has, no cure, just pain management and as the pain is erratic so it is difficult to manage and it got to the point that he was overloaded with painkillers and still getting shooting spasms from his feet. It comes mostly from the top of his feet and that makes it difficult to wear snug fitting shoes but if they are too loose then they cause problems with other parts of the feet with blisters, bunions etc. suffice to say that he just about manages on his own but will call the GP again if it gets too bad.

We went out with a group yesterday in Kirkcaldy and learned a new route, it was 6 miles though so Dad may need to find a way to cut it a bit shorter for our own group to use, still it was great to have a bit of company for a few hours.
We also handed back another 6 footballs last night and I got to watch some football before it got too dark.
    Take Care.

Morning, well done on the plant win leanfun.I won a bottle of wine on FB on Monday. I love the little wins, they keep me going.
I was working yesterday and have a few days off now.
I am sure your dad will be able to cut the route down, to suit your group when it gets going again Duncan.6 footballs was a nice stash to hand back. They are lucky to have you and your dad around to hand the balls back.
DS went to order out COVID tests but they said none available and wanted to send us 140 miles away to get one done. We shall keep trying to get them. Should be interesting when the home tries to get about 120 of them. Oh well time will tell.
Hope you all have a good day
    Stay safe.

Thanks thanks team win.  Will let you know what the plants are when they arrive.  A bit of sun so far this morning before autumn sets in.
Duncan’s Dad sorry to hear you have this condition sounds very painful but you are doing everything you can to reduce the pain. Take care of yourself.  The walk in Kirkcaldy sounds good and the company.  Many years ago when we were on holiday with our children we called there to visit a relative of DH’s who had moved there.  We managed a short walk yesterday.

Firefly sounds as though you have been really busy with the baking. DH used to eat oranges but the very large ones that came in the veggie box have just sat there so I made an orange cake.  I used the Merry Berry lemon cake recipe but only half the sugar, self raising wholemeal flour and one less egg.  In went the orange zest and as much orange juice as I could hand squeeze out of orange.  It came out well and is very moist.  A small slice is enough and I froze the rest in small portions.

Indie hope work has not been too bad.

    Take care all.

Good Morning, it was under 3 degrees when we went out for our first walk and a touch of frost on the grass at the playing field, not much warmer now but at least the sun is up and that makes all the difference :)
We will be going to the shop today for our 10 am walk and judging by Dad's list he should really be taking the car again but he did promise and I am holding him to it.
Strange thing happened yesterday, Dad asked next door if they wanted to use the space in his wheelie bin as he was not putting it out (less than half full) but they said no, we came back later in the day and their bin lid would not close because it was so full, they were lucky that it was emptied as there is a rule about that and the guys are usually quite strict about it.
Dad really must get his bird feeding station sorted, the blue tits are queuing up for breakfast.
    Take Care

Morning, sunshine, and heavy showers at the moment here. It's a lot colder as well.
Your neighbours were lucky Duncan with getting their bin emptied, people are strange and you can do no more than offer the bin
    space you have.
I picked DS's GF up from her shift at Tesco last night and she said people are off again buying everything up. They run out of loo rolls, cat litter and washing powder. Why I don't know as there isn't a lockdown.
We managed to get home tests yesterday, so they are being sent here. It's probably because I am a keyworker as nephew eldest son came home from college with a cold and can't go back till he has a test but they can't get one anywhere. I told him to keep trying.
    Have a good day

Morning.  Autumn has definitely arrived here.  It’s cold and raining.  We had booked to go away today but all cancelled ages ago.  BA changed our flights from Gatwick to Heathrow so we have had refunds.   To be honest I’d rather be at home at this time.   Hope for everyone there is a vaccine soon.    Indie hope your nephew’s son is better and is able to have a test.  There has been a very nasty colds around.  Pleased you have tests too.  Well done on the wine win.
Indie it sounds crazy at the supermarkets again.  Let’s hope things calm down.  We are in for a long autumn and winter.
The little plants arrived yesterday.  I really must take more care entering comps.  They were small plugs and the paper description was inside and wet so not really sure what they were.  I realised we have got rid of all plant pots here so took the plants around to a friend who is a great gardener to see what he could do with them.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.
PS so far I’ve won 20p on the darn hummingbird.

Morning, hope the gardener can work out what the plants are and grow them on. Well done on the 20p win, i have won 10p so far.lol.Our tests arrived yesterday afternoon but can't do them till next week now as DS's GF boss changed her shifts and she is working long shifts for the next 3 days and my DS and I are back to work tomorrow. We have to have the tests in the post box by a certain time and can't match it to us all so we will do it on Tuesday now, It's wet and windy here today but have been to the shops as needed a few bits i forgot and posted a package. Not going out again today.
Hope you have a good day
