    Hi All
Lovely day here again, if only we could get exactly this weather all year round :)

A word of warning about baking the biscuits, if you line your baking tray with greaseproof paper you will need to increase the baking time otherwise you will end up with a soggy bottom.

I wonder if the backlog with the testing is because people can't tell the difference between a common cold and the virus, everyone seems to be playing safe.
Only one football so far today but we are going back to the park for our after lunch walk soon so you never know.
    Have Fun.

We found another 3 footballs in later walks, all 4 that were found today were in the collection of 8 that Dad handed back yesterday, it's getting ridiculous :(
Fine end to the day weather wise, hoping for another day of the same tomorrow :)

Morning, I think you should get a small reward for every ball you return Duncan. Without the balls, they wouldn't be able to pay as they would soon run out of money if they had to keep replacing them. I will tell my DS about the extended time if he uses greaseproof paper as I know he won't want soggy bottoms, lol
I am doing housework and shopping today, nothing exciting, lol. Hope you all have a good day
    Stay safe.

    Good Morning
After a misty start it is now getting quite sunny although not as warm as yesterday so if Dad takes me to watch the football he will need a jacket and gloves on.
The grounds keeper at the park has suggested to the teams that they should reward me but got no response, if Dad had somewhere to store them then he would just keep them for longer so that the teams might notice but then they would just ask the parents for more money to buy more balls like they usually do.

Happy birthday to Lol Creme from 10CC, this is Dad's favourite track of theirs.

Morning.  Sunny here now and not as windy as yesterday.
indie housework and shopping sound quite exciting these days.
Firefly we had sea bream and veg for dinner yesterday before lockdown it would have been fish and chips from chippy so much healthier.  We are eating less cheese but we both love it.   On last Sainsbury’s order we had some Stilton so yesterday DH had avocado and Stilton for lunch.  We never ate avocado before we had the veggie boxes.   I had to stop eating butter and should not eat cheese as it gives me a lot of pain from small gallstones I have.  So we do sympathise with your DH. it’s cereal and  a slice of dry toast for me in the mornings as I don’t like marg.

Thanks for tip about the greaseproof paper Duncan.  It’s odd about the balls you would have thought thy would have to go and find them.   Our nearest GS is into football and has  conned his mum into buying them so we know how expensive they are.
Duncan our DD’s know they had colds it’s their schools insisting they have tests.   Yesterday DD2 phoned the school and they took her two back.   DD1 managed to get a home test yesterday.  DD2 had virus symptoms in March and her children had virus symptoms then.

This weekend it’s having another go at the forsythia.  I now have a gap in the border where it was so overgrown and each week have been filling the garden bin.  Nearly there but I don’t want to kill it off
    Take care all.

PS. Just found a message I’ve won a book on TW.  It will go away for eldest GS.

Firefly rumours online that online shopping slots are being taken up quickly as threat of lockdown. We don’t need one this coming week but I booked one for following week.  😍

Morning.   FireFly great you have regular online slots and have slots.  Before the virus we did not have regular slots but used Tesco for big shopping orders when lockdown came we had one order booked then that was it with Tesco’s we could not get any orders.   Then Sainsbury’s emailed DH and he was on their priority list.
We had apple and blackberry crumble yesterday from the freezer.  The fruit was already in a Pyrex dish and I had a bag of crumble in freezer to put on top. Instant crumble.   I had the idea of freezing the crumble mixture when we had the Auntie Bessie’s mixture we didn’t need the whole packet on our small crumble.  So froze half of it.   Last week I put the TV on and caught a bit of a Jamie Oliver programme.  He was making crumble and said he made a mixture with 1kg of flour and froze most of it to take out when needed.

DD2’s children went back to school on Friday.  DD1 received and sent off test for GS on Friday.  Yesterday he had a negative result.   His reaction ‘I’m so happy I’m alive’   He’s nine.  We all messaged him that most people survive the virus.   We have had a message from him just now ‘someone is going to school tomorrow’.

Duncan hope weather your way is still good for your walks
Hope all have a good Sunday.

hi all, been another awfully warm day here again, great you've managed to trim down the forsythia leanfun, it's hard work but worth it i think, i'm always shattered when i've been trimming some of the shrubs & weeding the veg/herb beds so sounds like you're doing a fab job, great idea freezing  crumble mix will start doing that thanks, bless your GS, it's such a worrying time for them & all the families i think & his reaction sounds to me that he must of been deep down worrying about it, thank goodness all's ok with him ((hugs)) great news & well done on the twitter win  :)
hope the weather up your way has been good today for you duncan,
    take care all x
please be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly. k2u58ioz4c8e.png

    Afternoon All
A bit dull round here. not raining but the ground has not dried out from some early morning mist.
Dad went shopping without me today so it upset all out timings for walks but he did get a lot of nice stuff reduced, something you never get when online shopping. ;)
We missed the morning football by 20 minutes and the afternoon game by 15 mins, I think Dad did it on purpose but he says not.
He has sore feet today and has taken extra painkillers but still not enough to let him work in the garden, he walks through the pain when out with me but it really gets to him when doing certain things.
    Tomorrow is another day.
    Take Care

I have to say that looking out over the playing field with the mist starting to rise and the crescent moon looming large in the western sky and the sun sliding below the horizon it looked like something out of a science fiction movie.
