The sunrise really picked out the changing colours of the leaves this morning.

FF I think you misunderstood about the walking group, we are already in one, the Ramblers, but we have been shut down since March and are just getting started up again, Dad is a walk leader so needs to make sure that the routes he chooses are suitable for all and within the limits of the group rules. We are a sub-group, mostly retired Ramblers that are not up to the full length walks or the climbs that they do, Dad joined them so that he could take me along every week, the 'proper' Ramblers don't like me :(

Shop this morning, more fruit for Dad, he fairly gets through it quickly, just shows how much rubbish he used to eat if he now eats a bit of fruit instead.

Just lost post!      Here goes again.   We were busy today went and picked up copies of picture unfortunately they didn’t have the right size frame but they are great copies.   Had a phone call and was able to have hair cut today.  Seems strange having lost so much hair, much lighter.  Hairdresser said she had made a mistake about price and charged me ten pounds less.  I think she realised I’m a senior citizen.
Indie well done on the soda win.  Let’s hope for a lot more this month.
Duncan your description of the ramblers brought back memories.
( just copied and then writing disappeared great we have paste)
years ago a friend and I started walking and thought we would try the ramblers.   We went for a walk in Kent.  As we were hearing through a hop field my friend said be good if we could enjoy the scenery.   Needless to say we did not join.    However after Uni one of our DD’s wanted to make new friends and joined a ramblers group for younger people.   it was great for her she made some good friends who she still sees.  Well done to your Dad for being a leader. It’s great to hear they have groups for more ordinary walkers and they are happy to have your company and one even has sweets.

    Diana Rigg rip

    Blustery day here but dry.
Ten pounds less 😲 what kind of prices do they charge for a haircut?
We checked out another route for the Ramblers this morning, nice and flat and exactly 4 miles, just what's needed.
Dad was baking again this afternoon (tea loaf) so I felt a little bit ignored but he made up for it with a nice pork and boiled rice dinner although I did fancy his fish & chips ;)
No football today but I did find 3 left in the bushes from last nights training, Dad has put my name on them and bagged them up for returning to the coach.
    Take Care.

Morning cooler here so far today.   We sat out in garden for lunch yesterday in the sun.
Duncan’s Dad it was £24 for wash, cut and blow dry.  It’s the least I’ve paid for years.  Neighbour said she paid £60 at another hairdressers.  My hair looks ok now and husband said are you sure she hasn’t made a mistake.   It’s great if you can cut your own.  Our DS has been doing his since lockdown.      Duncan the four mile walk sounds great i bet it’s scenic too.  I could manage and would love a walk like that.

Strange you should all be mentioning fish and ships.  Yesterday as I went past our local shops at lunch time the owner of the local fish and chip shop was shouting out at me as I passed and wanted to know how we were. He hadn’t seen us for six months and was concerned.  He hasn’t been there that long and always waves as we go passed.  His fish and chips are great but we won’t be having them too much now we have found the Billingsgate fishmonger deliveries.  Ho firefly it’s strange when you don’t feel that hungry then you do later.

Indie how are your two getting along are they friends yet?
Yesterday I had some children’s bubble bath turn up and a lonely Planet kids  book The Plastic Problem.  60 ways to reduce waste and save the Earth.   This looks really interesting.   I’d totally forgotten about these wins.
Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Well done on the win leanfun, good news about the hairdresser able to get you in and a discount as well. I pay £15 for hair wash and cut I just have it cut (bopped) to below my ears. I have it done 2x a year. Some people pay £70-80 for a visit to the hairdressers here. Not me, lol.
Charlie and Obi are getting along fine, Obi keeps wanting to clean Charlie's ears but he won't have it. Being a kitten he wants to play but Charlie just walks away when he won't leave him alone. Obi has vets today for his 2nd jab so he won't be happy with any of us later. Last time he sulked all day. DS has Dr's later and the Dr is seeing him! first time since lockdown began that it's not a phone call so I will be driving here and everywhere later.
Thanks for mentioning fish and chips Duncan, as I was wondering what to have for tea later and now I know, we have a nice shop not far from us do I think we will have that tonight.
    Have a good day
    Stay safe

Well done on the wins leanfun, nothing coming this way though.
The walk is mostly through wooded areas although we will go past a few ponds with swans and other water fowl, I will need to keep my group tightly bunched for crossing a couple of busy roads but at least the paths are wide enough to allow side by side walking without being too close.
Quiet day today with yet another trip to the shop, more apples and some bread for Dad.
Some showers put a dampner on the morning and so did yet another Freegler not turning up :( A second one did for a different item and she was a nice lady that smelled of Lurchers so now she went home smelling of me as I was all over her :)

A wet end to the day and tomorrow does not look all that great either, still it never stops us :)

3 skene of geese flying overhead today at different times, all going towards the south west, looks like we are in for an early winter, Dad says that he has never seen that so early in September before.
We took all the footballs back to the club today, 18 of them to add to the 12 we took back a few weeks ago, at £10+ for even the smaller balls, they should really be more carefull and not rely on me finding them all the time.

Thanks all re wins. I had just forgotten about them so when they turned up weeks later was a surprise.
Duncan great you and your Dad can cope with the rain and all the wet clothes.  It was fine here today and weather forecast for the coming week is very warm.   Interesting about the geese flying over so early.  I think we will have a long winter somehow.
Indie hope  your DS’s appointment went well. Great he actually saw someone.  Hope Obi was a bit better this time.  Sounds quite funny when he tries to play with Charlie.
Firefly sounds as though you really enjoyed the birds this morning.  I saw a cat in the garden from bedroom window this morning and it was quite confused when I banged in the window. It went strolling off down the garden.
I’m really happy this evening I’ve worked out how to put the comps in date order on iPad from the instructions on the post just below the Compers Inn.  I’ve looked at that before and not been able to do it.  My brain must have been a bit clearer today.  Wow I am so pleased.  I know I have been missing comps so now I can go to date and check.   I think I’ll still enter as they are posted although I had more wins with end date before.  We just need a bit of luck.

Hope all have a good Sunday.

    Good Morning Sunday :)
It is now semi-dark both morning and evening when we go out so the torches will need to get charged up again ready for use.
We just do comps as they are posted so no searching involved, admitedly we don't actually enter that many so it is easy to run down the list and cross them off.
Got word last night that the walks are cancelled again, the committee is playing on the safe side even though the rules allow up to 30 from 6 different households because we are classed as a sports group, they felt it safer to stop the walks mostly because of our ages, ho-hum.
