I had an unsettled night and could not lie comfortably in any position and on any surface so at 3am I went upstairs to Dad's room only to find that he was taking up nearly half the bed, I got on anyway and gradually squeezed him over to the edge until I could stretch out properly.
Felt really good this morning and was looking for fun on our first walk but for some reason Dad was a bit grumpy and kept saying that he wanted to go back to bed to finish the sleep that he never got
The football matches are supposed to be starting again this weekend so he may get to sleep at them while I am watching the game.
Have a good weekend.1 -

Duncan sorry to hear about your wasp sting but glad that you feel better. Just need dad to catch up on his sleep. Hope it’s fine your way today and Dad doesn't get wet taking you out.
Indie great your DS’s GF’s Nan has been able to have a break. It’s been a long time being in doors. Great you were able to look after her plants for her. I think you are right about your DS’s workplace. Lots of companies will be finding it hard.We went out yesterday to a photo shop so DH could get a passport photo. His passport has just six months on it so if we go somewhere next year he needs a new one.I took a photo I have of my brother and I as young children to be copied. There weren’t many photos taken then. This was taken by someone going round knocking in doors. I’ve kept meaning to get a copy for him so it will either be a birthday or Christmas present.
Yesterday I also walked to our local shops to buy some bread for lunch. We have a shop selling natural foods so I went in and asked for wholemeal bread. They only had white but said they had a wholemeal loaf out the back which they would give me and I could toast it. Back home husband cut some for toast he said the rest was too stale. I ended up making a bread pudding, something I don’t remember making before. I think there is a conspiracy to get me backing. Anyway it was a bit thinner than bought bread pudding but tasted good.I’ve discovered the local hairdresser has new people running it. So was able to make appointments. DH is going today and I have an appointment for Tuesday.Thank you all re win. Yes, Duncan’s Dad I could have missed it. I need to start unsubscribing I’ve never had so many emails everyday.
Hope everyone has a good weekend.2 -
Evening, I worked the morning shift today. They asked me to stay on but I declined as am working long day tomorrow and Tuesday.I was on the residential floor which I like and had a full cooked breakfast, lol. Still full up now. Glad your feeling better Duncan, sorry your dad didn't get much sleep. Years ago I had 2 alsatians and I worked nights, when I came home I had to get in bed sideways as they took up the rest of the bed. You would think they had slept all night but I could write a book about the mischief they got up to when I wasn't here, lol.
My mum use to make a lovely bread pudding leanfun and they turned out all different thicknesses. I must make one as my aunt sent me the recipe as it was my nans and she uses still.
I hope you have all had a good day

It was a lovely day here, just the right amount of sunshine and a gentle breeze to keep cool if needed.
We did 10 miles easily without really going anywhere, I did manage to get some football and Dad watched the TDF most of the afternoon.
Mum used to make bread & butter pudding with sultanas in but no idea what the recipe was, it was never written down sadly.
I hope your working days don't turn out too long indie, Dad used to do regular 12 hour nightshifts which sometimes over-ran up to 16 hours, it was hardly worth his while driving the 45 minutes home only to have to think about going back again in the evening for the next shift.

Dull and windy here today but the rain had been and gone by 6am so no towel dry for me.
Well done on your win ff.
Not much happening round here today, we had a Freegler forget that she was supposed to pick up a root cutting from Dad but eventually turned up 6 hours late after a blunt message to her from Dad, he hates them not turning up normally but is even worse when he has dug something out of the ground and it needs planting again quickly, if she had not collected, he would have faced the choice of re-planting it or binning it and as the old site had been dug over in prep for something else, it probably would have been binned.

Morning. It’s been very quiet here and not doing a lot. It’s a lot cooler especially in the mornings.Firefly well done on the win. Lovely to have fresh veg from the garden.Haircut day today. Hope it’s a reasonable cut as the hairdressers is so near. I stopped going as the previous hairdresser seemed to give everyone the same hair cut. A young man cut DH’s on Saturday and he was very pleased with the cut.All GKs are back at school now. DD2 said it was chaotic at the school gates for her two Yesterday but better today. It’s going to be a long week for them.
Take care all.2 -
Really warm here this afternoon. We sat out in garden for coffee. No hair cut shop was closed. When I came back they had tried to phone this morning but we Missed it. Ce la vie as they say.2

Opposite weather to yesterday, the rain arrived this evening so we got wet watching the football.
I don't need a haircut and Dad has been cutting his own hair for 25+ years so no problems with shop open or closed
We checked out a walk for the group re-starting next week, it might be a bit too much for one of them so we will keep it in reserve and see if we can find some easier ones, it will be strange with only 5 in each of four seperate groups but that's what we have been told from on high, it will mean fewer people to talk to every week and although we have the sweetie lady in our group, the tablet lady is elsewhere.
G'night all.1 -
Morning, well done on the win ff, I remember the competitions with them and use to enter. Never won but lived in hope, lol. The weather has been nice here probably change now I am off for a few days.
Sorry, your hairdressers were closed leanfun, hope it reopens again soon and you can have it done. All the kids have gone back to school here now. A workmate's son (in year 11) didn't want to go back as he has a cough but he had a COVID test and it was negative. She phoned the school and they said lots of kids have coughs and colds and as long as he had a negative test he can go back.
Good news the sweetie lady is in your group Duncan, although the groups will be smaller it will be nice to see them again.
I won 3 bottles of soda on a FB comp on Monday, the first win of the month so hopefully, a few more will come in this month.
Have a good day
