    Evening all
Sunny day here but not very warm, towels came in off the line just about as wet as they went out but they were aired and Dad says it was worth it for that.
Hope the plants come to something leanfun, plugs are a bit hit and miss for Dad so he stopped getting them, he sometimes puts seed out but there is so little space left in his garden these days so even that is getting rarer.
Good luck with the tests indie, I don't think I would fancy a swab up my nose and down my throat.
A bit boring around here for me today as Dad was working on the bird feeding station, all the rust has been removed and holes filled in then spray painted, I stayed well out of the way for all that, he still needs to fit  hooks then plant it back in the garden.
    Take Care.

    Happy Birthday Olivia Newton-John, 72
This was the song that made Dad fall in love with you, Take Me Home, Country Roads

Cold start and end to the day, Dad was wearing hat, gloves, jersey and jacket.
I got to watch 2 football games so I was happy but it meant that Dad never got any work done at home so he was a bit grumpy.
Tomorrow will be fun if the same thing happens ;)

Felt chilly here this morning but no where near a minus temp brrr to that Duncan.   Hope it has warmed up for you.    Pleased you had fun yesterday watching the football.   Thanks for the take me home links.
Yesterday I had a phone call with the friend’s wife I had given the plants too.  I had told him to pass them on if he didn’t want them and he didn’t say anything when I took them around he just looked bemused.  Anyway when I mentioned plants to his wife she said they are already potted up.  So they have found a good home.
Hope you all have a good Sunday.

I managed to escape today when Dad had the gate open and I was running free for about half an hour until he caught me trying to sneak under a hedge at a neighbours garden, he was so upset and has hardly spoken a word to me since we got home, I now have sore feet with all that running but getting no sympathy from Dad who now has split heels to go with his sore feet.
The rest of the day pales into a distant memory compared to all the fun I had running about the street.

Ho Duncan how worrying for your Dad and exhausting until he caught up with you.   He must have been very worried you would run out in the road.  I fully understand him not talking to you today and I would also have no sympathy for your sore feet.  Half an hour is a long time.  I hope your Dad s feet are improving.   Thank goodness he caught up with you when he did.  Hope he’s had a good rest today.

It was a lovely sunny day here but windy I managed to do some more pruning in garden. Late afternoon we walked around our block but the way we went was up hill, good thing was wind had dropped so it was quite pleasant.

Ive managed to win £1 on the hummingbird today.   DH is watching football now and I went on iPad it said something about downloading and I thought I had put later but it went ahead.  So I am now on DH s laptop.  It has a Portuguese keyboard and I can’t remember where a lot of things are and its harder on my hands.

    Take care all.

hi all, not been doing much here today as got a horrible head cold & been feeling very tired,
oh duncan you naughty boy ! can understand it was good fun for you having the freedom to run around but very worrying for your dad in case you had an accident & had got hurt,  i hope your dad talks to you & tries to make you understand it's not a good thing to be on your own on the roads & you're better off with lots of love & fusses inside, hope yours & dads poor feet feel a bit better now,
sounds like you got 2 good things done today leanfun with pruning in garden & a good walk, well done,
well done on the humming bird win,
    take care all x

Morning, it's raining here today but it's not cold out.
Sorry, Duncan, I have no sympathy for you. Worrying your dad like that. I can imagine what he was going through as I know how I would have felt if Charlie had done it and I wouldn't want to speak to him for a while. I hope your dads feet are healing ok after that.
Well done on the £1 win leanfun, I won 20p over the weekend but nothing else since.
I hope your cold eases soon ff and you get some rest.
Our Covid tests came back negative yesterday, but just heard on the news that some students have it in our local uni,I didn't think it would be long before it was down here in the unis.
I wasn't too impressed yesterday as found out families can take the residents out on the residential floor for the day a resident went to the beach then out for a meal with other family members. I understand their mental health is suffering but they are lucky than the other floors being on the ground floor as they have gardens and they have always been able to talk to their families from the patio doors. The other 2 floors don't have that luxury. I did say we have to wear masks 12 hours a day to protect the residents but if they are going out and mixing with family members what are they doing to protect us!!. No one could answer that question.
I know the staff on residential don't work on the other floors but I work there sometimes doing a half-day. I have decided not to do any more half days so don't have to go down there. Shame really as I like working there but I feel it's too much of a risk.
    Rant over,lol.
