Tired again. Another late night after work, and one of those days that felt like death by 10000 paper cuts. Nothing major but way more little things than my brain can cope with.
Still obsessing over the budget, which is actually a good thing. Lost my mojo with my diet but the habit tracker will sort that out for me. Am already desperate for payday - 2 weeks to go.

Morning all,
Am making my 2nd cup of coffee last as long as possible because it's cleaning day today & I'm just not in the mood. I'm hoping once I get started I will find the energy to whizz through it, then I have a sourdough loaf to bake & dinner to put in the slow cooker, then I will have some me-time - a bit of TV & some knitting.
Oh dear, coffee very definitely finished now, so must transform into Ms Mop!

Morning allOn third cup of coffee here, but I have already co-opted OH to help move the old mattress into the passageway upstairs ready for collection. For some reason you now have to put them into enormous green plastic bags. Not easy to do with a king size mattress, and can't imagine this is a good idea, given concerns about plastic 😦 New one is supposed to be delivered today. Hope it is! Otherwise Dog and myself will be squashed into one of the spare singles tonight 😄I have given the bedroom an extra clean, including the bits that aren't easy to get at with the bed in situ (I do move it out sometimes, but it is heavy and I don't do it every time).OH is off on his jaunt shortly, so I am going to make the most of the next few days, DD and kids permitting, by cleaning, tidying and declutteringUpdate: Just had a call to tell me that the mattress will be delivered between 11-1. OH will head off at about 10.30, so will spend time with him till he goes. It arrived, exactly what we ordered and delivered when promisedSpent the afternoon catching up on my business paperwork, boring but necessary and now there aren't bits of paper all over the lounge.Walked dogAte leftoversCut up a ham from the staff shop where my brother works - he brought it round with his washing. He has been strangely absent for the last few weeks. Doesn't usually bode well... Anyway, the ham was a few days out of date, but in its shrink packaging and hadn't been out of the fridge. It looks and smells ok, so I sliced it up and froze it. It is quite a fancy one, with an elderflower and something glaze. Brother works in a food factory which supplies posh supermarkets.Load of washing done, but didn't put it out because of rain. More rain tomorrow and high winds, so it had better go on the airer in a minute.Walked the dogPut some more stuff awayWas emailed a voucher code from webuybooks, so found a few that can go, and more to the point, that they would accept.Sold an ebay itemMade up bedMore tomorrow....

Morning frugal pals. I definitely procrastinate about cleaning 😆
Hope your weekend is productive and quiet @DawnW
my list today:
write shopping list but hoping not to go until Monday, but we’ll see.
Check banking
washing out on airer and some dry washing put away. No ironing of course!
Try and rearrange some furniture
vacuum through
watch some tv under blankets with smalls later
Be really focused with energy as our electricity bill has crept up. We would expect this with the extension but even more reason to focus on these small things
meal plan for next week, will do this before the shopping list writing
have a good day all. Enjoy your holiday @1LuckyLady

SO here's a little problem I need help solving:
SO I don't have credit cards anymore and I'm pretty good at not really over spending - but there is a big BUT that I just can't get over, and I know it's what sort of got me in to trouble earlier.
Problem 1 I now actually have private debt and a list of half committed plans:- DS £70 + rest of B'day gift £30
- Sister for name change on Christmas tickets £230
- Last payment on ds training camp £200
- Upcoming bills:
- Car cambelt £300-£400 N - Urgent
- £200 for Easter holiday
- Life in UK test £50 towards citizen plan N
- Old country passport £150 (incl train ticket to embassy) N
- Half term trip to London w boys £70 (train, exhibition and meal deals)
- Paint for dining room £18
- So there you have it £1416
The thing is they are pretty much all things that won't go away. Except the holiday things. I almost have the money for the cambelt so I will discuss with mechanic next week. I'm not spoilt, I have a medium income, I can't wait to have some time off this week. Happy Valentines.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%
Emergency fund: 100/1000 10%

I have made it to half term - barely. My mental health is shot and I am beyond exhausted and looking forward to a decent lie in over the next few days
Went shopping on the way home from work. With a list, to Liddle - which was a revelation to ds. I think he may be partly convertedI have meal planned for the weekend and much of half term, and am confident that if Dennis hits big over the weekend we will not need to leave the house. Hope everyone is safe out there...
