We're famous!
OK that's an exaggeration, but the Small Things thread is mentioned in Martin's email as DFW Chat of the Week! 🍻🍾🏆Debt-free day: 8th May 2015 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama5 -
Hey everyone!
Congratulations to DNMS on her new GD!
That's what smiley is missing... the dodgy group hug! I liked that one!
Hermes did not attempt the delivery again (but said they did). I have back on to the tree company. Ally - thanks for the links. I may consider them but the feedback that I'm getting at the moment is that the tree company must deal with Hermes as they are the client. The chap even admitted on the phone that because it was a business address, Hermes likely wouldn't bother if the planned time was our of hours
Apparently they will come today between 4 and 6 so it might finally happen. I'm confused though as I thought they would only try 3 times. I'm guessing that because he hasn't ACTUALLY tried once, I'm still going... I told the tree folks that if it wasn't delivered today, that I wanted to cancel my order and get a refund.
It's my Friday today and I'm tired and ready for my weekend. Looks like the weather is coming bad so it'll be another missed opportunity on the allotment (currently it's GORGEOUS here). It's kinda stressing me, which is bad. I'm not feeling so good today but I think it might be cos I'm het up.
Normal boring things on my list so I shan't bore you.

Afternoon all,
DNMS, Congratulations
Todays listKids finished off the omelette and beans for their breakfasts ✅
Wash a load on the quick 30 degree wash✅
Gym class, cross trainer and treadmill done to make the most of my membership✅
Monthly meet up with a friend, I'm trying to lose weight so no sandwich or cake for me, just a pot of tea and an extra pot of hot water. Paid for using survey vouchers and I got my card stamped so points towards a free cuppa. (£2.10 and 3hrs of laughing and talking
)✅
Home to have more of my home made leek and potato soup✅
Weather not bad here today so went out for a walk around the block whilst I had the chance as the weather isn't meant to be nice here again tomorrow✅
Check banking/update spreadsheet ✅
Hang washing on the heated airer and put the dehumidifier on in that room
Make chicken risotto for tea to use up some mushrooms (the leftover beef stew now moved to tomorrow night when we've got the kids at the hairdressers and a guitar lesson)
Make families lunches for tomorrow - the last ones for a week!
Really ought to make a start on the holiday packing
Better get cracking! Take care all.
Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.

Betharooni said:Hi all.
Will be a more active member this week rather than lurking like normal. My aims for this week are:- Update DFW diary
- Keep on top of spending tracking spreadsheet
- Go to the gym at least twice to make use of membership
- Book exam (last one then current level of qualification finished)
- Start collating and listing stuff to sell in local indoor boot fair at the beginning of March
- See if I can book place in indoor boot fair at the beginning of March
- Work out next planned Ramblers walk I want to do (to make use of membership)
- Put brown bin out for garden waste collection so I can get filling it up again
- Work out when seeds need to be sown and make plan
- Put mini greenhouse up in garden
- Sort through outstanding toiletries, amend list and sort out any items I want to dispose of or sell
- Look at ways to make some additional money
My plan for the remainder of today is to update my diary, update my spending tracking spreadsheet for spending over the last few days, go through my seeds and make a sowing plan and look through the upcoming Ramblers walks list.

Have had a bit of a fail the last couple of days and been feeling too rough to do much - I suffer a lot with migraines and was feeling nauseous and generally pretty rubbish so did very little. However the couple of items that I have done are to put the brown garden waste bin out for collection today so I can get cracking again in the garden, I’ve updated my spending tracker spreadsheet and worked out what Ramblers walk I want to do next. Will be having a sports massage in a couple of hours to try and help my head and neck - very MSE - getting it through a local university’s sports injury clinic where the student physios can get experience so an hour long massage is only £20!
Other than that, my plans for this afternoon/evening are to book my exam, update my DFW diary, sort out my seed sowing plans and to look through some options to make some extra money. Here’s hoping I can be more successful with that today...

Hermes can go and do one. They have lied about trying to deliver yet again.
I am going to tell the company that I don't want the tree and order it from somewhere else.LBM 11/06/2010: DFD 30/04/2013Total repaid: £10,490.316 -
Afternoon allAlly, be careful near the sea this weather 😱Congratulations DNMSBetharooni, hope you feel better soonCLF, what a pain 😠Well, I don't need a gym membership today -Walked into town to the post office (a couple of miles there and back), helped OH with the tree removal job he has been doing for a neighbour (lots of wheelbarrowing and stacking) and then we had to move a load of logs that turned up unexpectedly 😬 Took all afternoon. Then I walked the dogNot much else done, unsurprisingly.Lunch was beans on toastDinner will be frozen pizza, jacket potato and saladFire alight, as it is getting cold, hard frost this morning. Was going to say I hadn't spent anything, but OH paid for the load of logs, fuel and some rubbish he bought at Mr S this morning.Early night needed I think!
