Morning all,ย
The thunder and lightening were really bad around 4am here,ย I didn't get back to sleep after so feeling tired now.ย
Anyway onto todays planKids had some ys bread out of the freezer which now means I can move the last couple of things out of the 2nd fridge freezer and switch it offย โ ย โ
Been to the gym and run week 3's runs 2 & 3 as the way the forecast is looking I wasn't going to be able to get run 3 in.ย โ
My breakfast is going to be leftovers from last night, I didn't do a risotto in the end,ย I made a cheese sauce put all the mushrooms in and the last of some chicken I'd defrosted and had it on toast.ย It was delish but far too much for one meal!ย โ
Lunch will be more of the leek and potato soup I bulk made โ
Dinner will be the last of the beef stew,ย with more freezer use up (dumplings for 1 and yorkie puds for 3)
Run the dishwasher on the quick washย โ ย and emptyย โ
Put washing away off the heated airer โ
Run the washing machine on the quick wash โ ย and hang on the heated airer โ
Check banking/update spreadsheetย โ ย
Continue packing for our trip (making sure I pack meds as dh & the kids all have coughs/colds) โ
Hairdressers for me early afternoon,ย then back there with the kids after school (must remember to get cash out of the bank as they don't take cards)ย โ
That's enough to be getting on with.ย
Take care all.ย

Hi February Forumites,Mornin'. โ Today is a workday ๐ค, so very short, uninspiring list.
Debt-Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Five:โ Check online banking. โโ Day 17 of 30 day Free Running Challenge. 30.3km/18.8miles so far. We'll see if there is a break in the weather. โโ Alarm clock off at the wall during day time. โโ Clear emails. โ
โ Take a packed lunch to work later. โDebt-free day: 8th May 2015 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama8 -
Good morning folks!
Well that was a spicy start to the day! We were having the gas safety check at 9am. This normally consists of a quick 10 min call and turning everything on and off. Well this time the chap took one look at the boiler, the big bucket of water that leaks from it, opened it up and 'demmed it
I'm not unhappy about this at all as the boiler was ancient and very inefficient. The bath and shower weren't that hot any more and it's costing us more to run. Only down side is obvs with it being winter so we'll be a bit nippy for the next week or so. It's a rented property so no direct cost to us (although I wouldn't be surprised if the rent went up)
Today's small things:B/L/D from storesย - done
Heating off
-ย got home from a quick jaunt out to find that the LA had popped two elec heaters into the porch for us
Reconcile budget sheet - done
Tidy round - always seems a mess in here
ย - done
Go up to the allotment this afternoon for an hour- nope. went to buy yarn insteadย
Get up to date with my scrapbook. I am flagging already. This does not bode well for the idea.ย
Hermes... apparently it's out for delivery again. Not sure I can be arsed any more. I kinda want the tree, so I might just see how long Hermes fancy carrying it around... decisions...ย well blow me down with a feather! It was been delivered! THERE'S CORN IN EGYPT YET!!
ย Bought some yarn for a new crochet blanket using my pocket money
OH trying to learn the clarinet that he brought back from the loft at mil's
ย Put up curtain from cs at back door. Already did the one at the front and it's made a big difference
Will add more as I go

Morning all ๐ย
@determined_new_ms congratulations on the new arrival ๐ย
Am at an all day appointment so opportunities are limited but it is a NSD so there is a start. But will take all opportunities I get:
free lunch and parking
DH got PP I success notifications on 3 loans and a CC it looks like but all from one provider. Will fill in the additional detail they want and see what happensย
check banking - 1 account was adrift my sheet and I canโt see why. Have manually adjusted later and will look again when I have more time.ย
Washing on timer so itโll be done later when I get backย
tea from stores, project eat out of freezer continues
read a blog a lovely forumite sent me a link to
Agreed with DH that we wonโt be getting each other anything for tomorrow. We donโt normally (or for birthday and Christmas) but just double checking!ย
Check on 2 products Iโm fermenting on the side. Both new processes so itโs a big learning curve but will work out waaaay cheaper than buying finished in store.ย
Have a a good day all. Purps.ย7 -
Morning all!
Still only just hanging on to the MSE bandwagon but lurking around these parts certainly helps! Don't know what's the matter with me!! However, today I have/will:
* Check banks
* Load of washing on 30 degree eco wash
* Take lunch to work - this is a small win as been rubbish lately! Plus I'm going to have OH's dinner from last night as it was too spicy for him so he only had two mouthfuls!ย
* Park for free and walk to work - got drenched!!!ย
* Eat OOD porridge using communal milk at workย
* Do money shuffle to get everything back in the right pots
* Go to free pilates class at workย
* Check OP/PAย
* Check TCBย
* Buy card from cheap shop on way home
* Snap receiptsย
* Hang washing on airerย
* Go to circuits (already paid in advance)ย
* Dinner from stores
* Freeze mince if don't use for dinnerย
* Wash hair and let dry naturally
* Do free Spanish lesson (only an app)
That's everything I can think of for now. Hope everyone has a good day.ยDebt as at 5 June 2023 - ยฃ15,600.89

Evening allCongrats on the PPI results PurpsBrrr, cold today!But I have:Had HG cooked fruit from freezer for breakfast instead of bought fresh fruitLooked after GD again this morningManaged to make soup and put a stew in the SC for dinner while she was here. The soup is a kind of Thai vegetable thing - it is ok, but I don't love it. I will of course however be eating it - just because it isn't a gastronomic triumph is no reason to waste it!Used up lots of fridge stuff in the soup and stewWatered the vine weevil nematodes onto what remains of my strawberry plants after GD had gone home. Hope it isn't too cold for the little critters to do their grisly job!Put a rice pudding into the oven to use up some cream that is on its dateNothing like the level of activity yesterday with all the wood cutting, carting and stacking!But no spending eitherOH is off for a few days tomorrow, and the new mattress should be delivered ๐And I will be eating from stores, no shopping!
