OP, I would have lost patience long ago with your OH's "injured party" games. It's not like you murdered their mother. So your frustration boiled over with the in-laws who had invited themselves to stay and weren't considering your need to get ready for work - and now OH expects you to pay for this offence forever...?! Nah.

Just out of curiosity, what does your mother think of your OH's behaviour? Were they (OH and your mum) friendly before the incident, or has their relationship always been a little strained and your OH seized the opportunity to use this as an excuse not to see your mother, while making you the scapegoat?

OP you really need to talk to him.  I would.  My advice would be to apologise to him for what has gone on before and explain to him how hurt you are about his treatment of your Mother.  Then you BOTH need to resolve to change things.  If he won't then ..well.....
