I know that MSE will be working hard fixing things (I hope so anyway) but the new forum has now been up and running for about half a week and is causing a lot of problems for people. Would it really be too much to ask for regular brief updates on what is being worked on, what will not be changed, acknowledgement of issues raised etc? Not asking for a blow by blow acount obviously, but a little communication would go a long way.5

It is a bit flickery, but could be slowed down. Maybe they don't want to replace Martinsmilies because he's aged since that photo was taken and the comparison would be unflattering.MollyR said:Please, please, not the one of Martin with St Vitus' Dance! Can we still tell if a poster is online/offline anymore or has that feature been removed permanently? The greern/ red indicator has gone from the left-hand box.I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.4

There isn't a "fault" that I can see with the positioning of the CURSORmarkin said:I hope they have made a list of all the add-ons and features the old forum had.The fault that puts the courser in the quote box should be a priority FIX
However I'm guessing that you are doing what I did initially when I was making my 1st replies having clicked on " QUOTE
... and that is ...
The quote appears in the reply box at the bottom of the screen but the box does not get any larger and you are moving the cursor INTO the box and "clicking" in order to make your reply
DON'T - Having CLICKED "QUOTE - DON'T MOVE THE CURSOR - JUST TYPE - The reply appears in the right placeThere are 10 types of people in the world. ‹(•¿•)›(11)A104.28S94.98O112.46N86.73D101.02(12)J130.63F126.76M134.38A200.98M156.30J95.56J102.85A175.93

Maybe so. However MSE cant do anything about your email settings.Frogletina said:
Well, I've now marked them all as not spam but it hasn't made any difference. They are still going into my spam folder. Even ones from the same people.db2016 said:I have found 229 messages in my spam folder. This is odd because on the first day they were coming into my inbox.
this is simply because of your email provider thinking a lot of emails in short time or emails without you reading them (and thus showing they are important to you), is spam, so they have took the decision (automatically) to divert them away from you.The settings for the emails I did find by trial and error. However, the tick boxes cannot be seen on portrait view on my mobile, hence it took me a while to find them, on landscape. Not intuitive at all.
I have two email addresses and my emails are rarely read on the one set up for incoming emails..they are automatically forwarded to my other email which I prefer to read them on.

This is really odd, I mean, how different iPad users get different experiences.silvercar said:
I’m using an iPad in portrait mode and your name appears complete and forumite reads horizontally not vertically.southcoastrgi said:What a mess, my name doesn't make sense, what is it a forumite & even that has separate letters apart from "it"
no I don't want to use my tablet in landscape
on this iPad, I can’t log in in portrait mode, only in landscape, as on portrait mode it goes to an error page!
once logged in, in portrait mode I get the same view as southcoast, plus am unable to access the notifications/inbox/bookmarks/logout buttons.
this iPad has had the latest upgrades from Apple.
on my other iPad, I can’t access the Forum at all in either orientation...I just get a blank white page.
i really dislike landscape, and typing posts is very difficult...the keyboard is huge and the keys are sticky.(I just lurve spiders!)

I use Edge, I don't like it but I use it for visiting the forumSeamus68 said:Is the new Forum not available using Microsoft Edge?? A previous post mentioned we need Firefox or Chrome....Edge is the default browser for most Windows machines now.
I only get blank pages using Edge, the scroll bar on the right hand side loads but only a blank page, I have tried a number of different pages and all blank, don't know if it is my settings as I can see the pages in IE but the formatting is all to pot....1 -
I don't know what else to tell you, I had the same problem with IE which is why I moved to Edge and I don't see what you are seeing with it.

Opera browser was working fine, until today. I now have to scroll half way down my laptop to see the forums, the top area is now a jumbled mess, as is the right side. All unreadable.1
