Everything that Polly says - double and treble!   Well said Polly - Melly - read and re-read what she has posted xxx   We are all behind you, applauding you - and, if necessary, right up beside you, holding you upright - but you are now seeing that you have family and friends in RL who are more than happy to do this xxx

Can you get or borrow a new phone with a new number and leave the other one to collect the abuse, maybe someone else could be the keeper of it?
Melly, Vodafone sell a PAYG mobile for £1 - you have to buy a £10 topup with it but here's my suggestion:
    • Get that and port your old number to it.
    • Give that phone to a friend to look after for you: they can monitor calls and pass on messages from true friends, the police, the agencies who are on your side (ie not social services trying to get you to help the ex). It's a ghastly phone to use on a daily basis, but that doesn't matter. OR, if you want to retain control, keep it in a drawer and only look at it when you're feeling strong and in good company who will reassure you about any of the lunacy being sent.
    • Get a new SIM with a shiny new number for your current phone - Martin has articles (of course he does!) about what to go for - and give out that number to those you can trust.
Signature removed for peace of mind

    Much better day today
We have added a walk to my day so I'm getting out and some exercise.
Some paperwork to do for one of the jobs
I am making the effort to shower and dress and sort my hair and stuff out

I'm glad today is better Mel. Just take one day at a time as it comes along. There'll be god ones and some not so good when you have a little wobble but once things are sorted you have many good days to come.
I've probably mentioned it on here in the past but when things were difficult and youngest was struggling I would say " This too shall pass"

It took a lot of help and time but her life is very different now. Yours is already a lot better than it was but when you're through the divorce and totally free there's a new life waiting.
A walk is not only good exercise but is good mentally. Dd and I ventured out for the first time since mid march on Saturday. She's been at her BFs since Superdoc ordered her to stay indoors from March 13th.

I've been dropping the meds off each month half way uo the long driveway. Her BF has had a conversation with me from a great distance and taken them indoors to sanitise.
There are very large front and back gardens so we started sitting about 10ft apart chatting along with the cats.
I've left it to her over staying indoors. Saturday she suggested a wonky walk around the block (we're both having health flares)
It was lovely. We wandered along looking at all the big victorian and edwardian houses and lovely gardens chatting as we went.
It's quite a long way round but we only saw two couples on the opposite side of the road out for their bit of fresh air. For a late Saturday afternoon it was pretty weird as there are usually lots of people around.
I think many will have been down the road at the beach because there was a nonstop stream of traffic coming past us from the beach. Most were racing along so that was a bit of a spoiler.
However we both felt it was a bit of normal after all this time.and eased the feelings of being isolated from the old way.
She gave me a huge hug when I was heading home. First time we.ve done that since March.
i haven't been indoors there since March so we'll consider that at some point. At the moment neither her Consultants or Gp want her
    taking risks so baby steps.
Have a good evening Mel and good luck with the job search.

Do you have anyone who can be with you, Melly?
That's assuming that you can have someone - this is way outside my experience.
    Just be honest.
Prepare well and get all the evidence to hand.
    Good luck.

Thinking of you this morning, Melly - try and remember that whoever is interviewing/talking to you has to do exactly the same things as you do - s/he has to go to the loo, brush his/her teeth and wash his/her face - and put pants on, one leg at a time xxx
