Another NSD here. No petrol used either just plain old shoe leather for us to be out and about this afternoon and no spends needed as going to a pals.I’ve made kefir, cake, biscuits and sugar free date and nut balls to set us up for the week.DH on a mission with housework today so the washing machine is on to get the bedding done.Feels like a productive day all round already. Going to round up some loose ends in the fridge and make lunch in a minute.Thankfuls today:

Still on NSD No 15
Just a few fresh bits and bobs needed to get us through to the end of the week.
Himself got the results of his tests taken on Tuesday. Nothing conclusive but obviously something not right and they are a bit baffled as to what it is. Doc phoned to let us know. He is a really lovely man. Totally goes above and beyond for his patients. He's organising an appointment with yet another kind specialist but said not to worry. Now, I am not medically qualified but I know for certain that the one thing Himself could do to help is give up/cut down on alcohol consumption. Going on holiday is not the best time to press this point but I am hopeful since it's just the two of us. Lots of lovely walks, peace and quiet and homemade food.
Got a lot to do next week before we go so I'll get on with this never ending list.

Hey
Just doing that thing I do of randomly disappearing and then coming back again promising that I will get back on the wagon and sort my life out. I've not had the best of weeks if I'm honest. Not only did I have naughty tortie reward my devotion by getting another tumour which has stressed the life out of me and cost almost £1000 to have removed, but when I got her ready to go for surgery on Thursday I also took my little Tuxy cat along who was getting even littler and not doing so well. Unfortunately I didn't get to bring my tuxy cat home again. The vets did everything they could for her but in the end I had to let her go. Me and the kids are absolutely devastated... However, naughty tortie 1 came through her major surgery - tumour removed and now just everything tightly crossed that the tests show it was benign (like the last one was). Also please pray that Tuxy's insurance pays out because there's a second bill of over £900 there for her needing to be paid. I feel very lucky to have the vets we have - they are a small, cat only practice and they could not be more caring and compassionate.
So my half term week has been eventful, but not in a good way. I've spent a fortune, fallen badly off the diet wagon, not managed to do anything much with my kids and lost one of my feline friends. I am allowing myself time to relax and reflect but I can't afford emotionally or financially just to hide away and ignore everything. I was just getting back on track with my budget and cutting back so I could pay the cc off - I need to get my focus back.
Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Evening allSo sorry to hear about your cat CCLStruggling a bit with a sore throat / virus thing, but this has had the advantage that I haven't been out or spent anything! Therefore on NSD 11. Will have to spend tomorrow though, as I need a few items from the sm.Still using stuff out of the freezer, and managed to sell a couple of things that have been clogging up the kitchen cupboards on ebay, so decluttering is going ok. Just got to pack and post them now!8

Sorry to hear about your cat, ccl
No spends today, making NSD 11. Have done some more clearing in DS2's room with him - more things donated/ recycled/ binned/ to the 'for sale' pile/ passed onto DS3. Swapped out his damaged c-o-d (have given it away since via fbook - advised of damage) for one we bought c. 3 years ago but never got around to doing anything with....so that's also cleared that from the family room (was first hanging around in the hallway for over a year!) His room's much clearer - now just needs vacuuming and dusting....
Different Clothes - tried on my next-size-down jeans - they fit, but am not sure I'd want to wear them all day just yet.... couple of weeks should hopefully see them okDH took 4 pairs of Lev1 5o1s from his drawer which are now too big (and these were the smaller ones we bought a couple of years ago) and I shall list them on flebay. He prefers 511s now he's lost weight - they're a slimmer cut.
Grateful for: getting more things sorted, using things up, a flebay sale overnight

Ccl - you gave tuxy cat so much love; sorry he's gone. And I think that you have done stuff with your kids this half term. Maybe not big massive things, but you've been out and about, or at home, with them.Today I am grateful for visiting some lovely friends, for dd enjoying herself, for finding some next-size-up-elasticated-waist-denim-but-lightweight-jeans-with-pockets for mum for just £1, for getting to watch the rugby, for successful cake making, for finding fuel at 124.9 instead of the 132.9 it is nearer home.
