Another NSD, so takes me to 14 I think. Really lovely day, watching some TV and doing lots of knitting.Changed meal plan around and made a Chinese chicken curry from what I had in as it felt like a nice warming meal was required on a day like today. Used up 2 naans from freezer in the process. Also used brocolli stalk in today’s veg juice. Triaged fridge whilst I was making juice too.Gratefuls today:
warm blanket
Yummy leftovers for lunch
being able to catch up on some

Today was NSD13, I have been asleep all day in between the school runs, Feel awful, this stupid cough that has been niggling away in the background for the last 5 or 6 weeks had just turned truly awful last night and I now have a terrible streaming headcold. I have succumbed to the plague! So I am taking to my bed, as much as I can in between child maintenance. I have done the week's menu plan, dh has already altered it (he is making spinach fatayers tomorrow night - saves me a job, I am not complaining), I do not need to buy anything else to feed us all. Good for NSDs, boring for everything else. Damage limitation measures are in force.

Today I am grateful for simply getting so much crammed in at work without being overwhelmed, for driving home in daylight (ok, so I still needed headlights on, but it's an improvement...), for cuddles with dd, for my microwaveable polar bear, for a good book.

No idea where to find it for the frog eating though.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Sorry you are ill f0xh0les but it does make me feel less of a wimp. 'It's only' a cough, cold, sore throat but then it takes your feet out from under you and leaves you with all the strength of an ancient dishcloth.Had a long sleep and then had to keep talking to myself to make me go and do things like brushing my teeth. Took me about an hour and a half to walk to Tossco's and get the taxi from there to mum's. Called in to book the taxi for the afternoon appointment and took out cash from the machine, struggled to get across at the lights (a woman stopped to check if I was okay or needed help, thanked her but said I would sit down when I reached the first bench). After a rest I walked to the shopping 'mall' and bench hopped all the way through it. Chose to walk along the side with the higher fence to hold onto and then leant against the end of the wall and waited for someone to press the crossing switch. Moved to lean on the control box and then stepped to the crossing when the lights went to amber.Sat on the smoker's bench outside the SM, put my bags on a trolley and walked sideways with both hands on the side of the trolley until we reached the end. Sat on an inside bench, went to the loo, sat back down on the inside bench, did the shopping (only a few items for mum) then sat on another bench before phoning for a taxi. Went outside (under the covered 'forecourt bit) and 'sat' on Iggle Piggle's boat and was so grateful when the taxi driver took all three bags out of the boot and took them to mum's door.Ate, had a rest, helped mum's partner's grand-daughter to try and order a new tv for mum (hers took 50 minutes to come on, on Saturday). Website wasn't co-operating but she will pick one up at Arg0$ on Thursday and set it up . I made up mum's bed (had to rest after doing the fitted sheet, nothing is tucked in but all the 5 layers are in place.Went to mum's appointment, then to get her blood tests done, she went home and they 'threw' me out of the taxi near the town centre. Wind was strong when I got onto the main road, I sat down at a bus stop and then went in the library before battling across the car park. I still have a fish marinading in the fridge but have eaten a couple of slices of fruit loaf with no marg. Will sloth until it's time to go to mum's tomorrow - trying to back to 'normal' but will sleep over on Wednesday and Thursday night. hairdresser can cut my hair on Friday (just keep wetting it and combing it away from my eyes atm), then will stay home after Friday afternoon cinema.Today I am grateful for yoghurt, for all the benches in the town centre, especially the indoor ones, for plodding along. Another NSD.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage8

Whatever this poxy cough/cold business may be, it is fiercely difficult to be rid of. You sound like you are as weak as a wet kitten.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!
