Afternoon, I'm on my lunch break & have eaten jacket potato & salad with a teaspoon & fingers
I forgot my own cutlery & there's nothing else available. I went for a walk & intended to buy half fat milk for my cups of tea then realised it's my only spend today so I'll have hot water or peppermint tea instead so I can keep another NSD, think that's 6 in total.
Gratitudes
DDs both happily in love with nice young men
Friend has finished cancer treatment
Going to above friend's for tea

Siebrie - I hope you have a great time at the C&W party getting to know people, you seem to be putting a lot of effort into it, it deserves to be a success. And I hope you take away some bits at a vast reduction. Mothernerd, that sounds totally fair to me.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

apple_muncher said:Calling - how many gigs do you go to in a year? Not that many, local free ones and about 1 proper big one a month, sometimes 2 or sometimes none. Depends whose touring. I went to see The Calling(wonder where I got my username from) last night, cheap train journey, senior railcard and ticket was £20 drank water so full of a headcold. As I dont fancy a holiday on my own I book a few nights away at same time as a gig, next month London, month after Scotland see the sites as well.Yesterday, coffees before gig and water spends.Today fitbit strap snapped so another spendy day, got make up ordered as well, running low and cheap Primarny mascara, started off well so clumpy now.No romantic plans for me, so glad to be staying in tonight, hot bath, netflix night, hooked on Ann with E of Green Gables. Am I the only one? Will go for a walk after work as standing still last night at gig doesn't help my back and feel better outside with this cold.Get soon soon everyone who has lurgy and have a fab weekend.Grateful forLozengersCuppa soupDry weather at the moment.

Still on NSD No 9
Did the weekly shop today. Still have half the food budget for this week left and that included buying some items to take on holiday with us. Small light things that are much cheaper in Aldi and HB than having delivered from Tesco. Should only have to buy bread, milk and maybe some veg for the rest of the week. Confession. Bought some YS chicken drumsticks. Couldn't resist. They were reduced and we do enjoy them for lunch. It works out at 50p a meal for both of us. Am I forgiven?
It's been really wet here today and supposed to get even worse over Saturday and Sunday so don't think I'll be venturing out. Time to catch up on some chores and do some cooking, I think.
"DDs both happily in love with nice young men" - Aw, Deni. How lovely on Valentine's Day. Hope your friend's treatment has gone well.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.11 -
Calling - just £1 would bring you down in to the hundreds! Well done you.F0xh0les - hope you are feeling better.Today I am grateful for finding myself some more jeans in a ch shop (current ones getting threadbare in a non-mendable place), for paying with credit earned in that ch shop, for getting 2 more big bagfuls out of the house, for a great lady in 0xfam, for time with dh, for not having done myself as much damage as I thought yesterday, for all of us being on half term, for there being a selection of gf and df Easter eggs in sainz - usually have a choice of 2 boring ones.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!9

Hi everyone, just joined yesterday so getting up to speed....
Clothes - I have a nice pink jumper, never wear it as nothing to go with it. Thinking dark grey trousers but then what colour shoes! Maybe a charity bag item instead.
Music - I have radio 2 in the car I wouldn’t say I particularly like it not sure why I don’t channel hop so will give it a go.
Dancing - Raring to go!
3 Dates - achieved - girls night out next week (long overdue), lunch with hubby tomorrow (his treat) play date with 8 yr old DS friend & his mum on Thursday (walk and a coffee so cheap & cheerful). Might squeeze in a meerkat cinema trip as it’s half term, taking own snacks.
Self care - defo need to up my game here!! Plucked eyebrows this morning so that’s a start!!
Budgets - All on track this month, ‘free’ council tax month helping with what might have been an overspend. My pay day is last working day of each month so I pretend it’s the 1st monthly. I deduct my share of bills, monthly food shop and fuel out into virtual pots & the remainder is my spends. I keep the child benefit money separate to cover DS activities, (school dinners, trips, parties etc) I pay at least 1.5% off my debt each month. At the start of this year I went through my credit card statements for the whole of last year and aim to at least pay all of that off this year. I split the transactions into categories such as trips, holidays, overdraft, days out, charges, Christmas & just wasted!! Seeing how long it takes to pay just one of these off has made me take stock.
NSDs - Aiming for 8 from
now until end of month. Today wasn’t one due to £1.25 spend on a chapstick for my DS.
Gratitude - Today I’m grateful for finalising my half term childcare for next week, that it’s Friday, there’s nowhere I need to go or have to do tonight.
I am also aiming to do 20 challenges for 2020 so not all about money but keeping things less mundane.
Sorry for long post - needed to get it all down to make a start!

f0xh0les - hope you feel better soon.calling - well done.PurpleFairy - that was who I was going to try and follow for the yoga.BadBookkeeper - black shoes would work fine I reckon.Well today didn't go to plan. A couple of days ago we reported our broadband to Sky again, they said BT would come out but wouldn't need to come in, they said that the last time but they did, anyway I had just got back from a dog walk when he pulled up and said he needed to come in. The entire hallway was in turmoil, ladders up outside, old wires ripped out, the whole phone line coming into the house has been replaced so we will see. I am a bit miffed at his wire placement outside, typical guy (sorry fellas) just going for the easy option rather than the least obtrusive.Earlier in the week I bought some new friction stays for DS's window which wasn't closing tightly, replaced them with DH this afternoon, it was slightly scary as I had to hold the very large sash and bring it in through the opening and it was super heavy. Anyway new ones are on and his window is so quiet now - £7.99 well spent.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Feel better soon f0xh0les
I'm celebrating half term with a large G&T and a night in front of the telly, followed by lots of sleep.
Dolly - my broadband hasn't worked properly in almost a year now. I've properly fallen out more than once with BeeTee over being told that people don't need to be in the house, then the engineer getting mad when I'm not at the house. I feel your pain.
Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control
