I actually find video calls quite tiring - I think it is because it is still my public 'face' that I am showing (except with my son). It's not difficult!

Busy day.
I have had to push through this one, as I have run out of pain killers. I have had to fit school runs, housework, sewing, phone calls, emails, messages etc at what felt like a really patchwork of a day. But the scrubs have gone, I have private sewing orders starting to come in so I am going to have to juggle because I need to earn a living as well as volunteer.
dgs1 had a bad day at school, he was testing the deputy head today, and so I was pulled to one side. He had a meltdown when I collected him, he's been challenging everyone today.
dgs1 woke up once in the night and both woke me at 5.45.
i am going to bed now as I am shattered.
I had hoped to cut out more scrubs but I am just too tired. The washing machine is dying some sheets Navy for the next two sets of scrubs that are ordered, so I will have to dry them first thing tomorrow as weather not helping.
all mask ordered have been finished and I will post the last order tomorrow.

Ss son does not really come into the equation - he lives in the campervan on the drive, but has proved Ss to be unreliable in his help - she is better not to rely upon him, and just accept help from him when he is able to do so. Not very satisfactory for Ss, but it's better not to rely upon someone who is unreliable .."blessed is she who expects nothing, she shall not be disappointed".

I have used paracetamol and ibrufen but it is not really strong enough. I will pop to the pharmacy tomorrow.
its been a busy day.
The boys were up at 5.50. I fast forwarded the teasmade and had a cuppa in bed with them in/on the bed, but they had breakfast club at 7.45 so we were up and down stairs fairly early. Brioche are my go to I am hungry port of call, while I wash up, ( awkwardly at the moment), get dressed and then get them dressed and packup done. Walked to school, and back home to have my breakfast and then out to work.
4 masks finished for another order, the special size scrubs pattern drawn up, then I got to the sewing machine and started while Biggest came over and cut out two sets for me. I made 4 scrubs wash bags, and then started to sew up the scrubs. Biggest eventually managed to do amazingly and cut out two sets, 20 masks and then two more tops before she went home.
I finished one set of scrubs but I am just not as fast with half my hand out of action. The pain should be easing, as the movement increases but today I feel that it is rather uncomfortable.DS did surface to collect the boys and sort of kept an eye on them until 5 ish when he disappeared out.
dgd kept an eye out for a few minutes while I finished up before doing the rest of the dinner DS had started before he went out.
I had to text him to ask where he was at 7.30 as I had ds2 in the bath and he really needed a hair wash and I couldn't do it one handedly and would have needed the splint on my hand but I cannot get it wet. He did come back and help, put kids to bed and then retreated to the van.
I have had an evening watching TV.
I have more mask orders, a couple of elastic orders, and normal alterations work in. Looks like I am working at full throttle ( be it with a handicap!)
Hope everyone is safe and well.

S_s, you know your body best - but do you think the extra pain might be because you are doing too much with that hand? It's not difficult!

Hb2 you could be right, though savvy has regular aches! I'm younger and have them. It depends how long they said to rest the hand, sometimes they want people to use it sooner.
Glad your reasonably happy and moving along savvy, you'll get there eventually even though your tested, they all love you Xx3
