Well done on the sewing. Just wanted to say that when I worked in a hospital some people wore white scrubs so dying may not be necessary unless you have had other information. There were never enough of the larger sizes .....stressful job, lots of overweight staff despite working in healthcare! Love and (distanced) hugs xDecluttering, 20 mins / day Jan 2024 2/27

today I had help with cutting out and pressing things as Biggest helped.I sewed three pairs of trousers and a top today. One complete set was a Doctor Who duvet this morning and is now destined for the children's ward. ( we are hoping to get one of the Doctors from the show to wear them first for some publicity. If possible!)
its fenbid, hot water bottle and an early night as I worked from 9-6 today.
I was a lot slower at the start but I got there. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.6 -
Too early!
I could sleep for another few hours.
Although actually Dgs2 actually slept all night again. Just wish now that he would sleep until about 6.30 instead of 5 something. He is also waking his brother too early. But it is definitely a win that he slept all night.I find somethings that are too awkward for me to sew yet, for example I can't use my fingers to uncurl zips yet, I can't lay my hand flat, or stretch my fingers apart so intricate work is out.
yesterday with Biggest at the other end of the cabin, she was able to do the things I couldn't. I am so grateful to her for giving me a day, and for my Cabin being big enough for us to still be over 2m apart. I am grateful for the side gate, so we can come and go without contact with the rest of the household.
I am also grateful for all the donations I have received and the compliments, however I am not doing it for them, I feel that it is my gift to share with the NHS at the moment. I just couldn't not try.I am not sure how much I will be able to do today, I have been told they have a special size needed and they are going to send the material for that over to me by a volunteer courier, so it must be important.
I have also got some alterations that I had in before I broke my hand, so I need to try to do them. I am also aware that I am going to need to still earn something soon!My business account only has £5.67 left in it, and I have not paid myself in months. I must address the balance.
I would like to work on being more creative if I can find an outlet for my sewing after this pandemic is sorted, and a way to earn a living other than alterations or just alterations.
as you can see my mind, is going ten to the dozen at the moment.Time to get my wee lad dressed and ready for his breakfast and school.
DS is going to have to look after Dgs2. As he doesn't have nursery today.

Those early starts sound exhausting! Are you able to try pushing Gs2's bedtime back by 15 minute increments to try and get him waking later? Of course, this would have the knock-on effect of giving you less free time in the evening . . .
I do hope you will be able to find a way of being creative and bringing in some money, no-one can live on thin air! It's not difficult!

7" loops of elastic either side, with 3 pleats and a 2-3" gap in the bottom to add more effective filters.
I did download the Olsen mask but haven't tried it yet.I am very tired and finding it hard to get going this morning.
I put Dgs2 down for a sleep an hour ago, but I haven't started work, I have been answering orders etc and had my video call with my Mum and a long call with my friend too.
But I suppose I better get my body moving and start. !!When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.6 -

Update.Been to post office to send outstanding masks, and some elastic and fabric. But have decided I am just too tired and stiff to sew, so while boys are in van with Dad I am going to have a quick nap. I will rest today and get back to it tomorrow.
