biggest came back and she sorted through the donations so we can priorities the best fabrics to be washed/dyed etc and those not suitable can be bagged for charity because they are the wrong type of fabric.
she also cut out more face masks as I am suddenly getting more requests for them.
then she helped rearrange my cabin somewhat, with a few changes I wanted to implement. She worked a full day, as I did, and more. We stopped around 7.30 this evening.
I went to the pharmacy this morning before the long queues ( I was 3rd in line so only had to wait for about 20 minutes. I needed microporous tape, and Co-coldamol. I have managed to sit strangely or something as I am struggling with sciatica, and other similar back pain today, but I just couldn't shake it off.
ds did step up to the plate and deal with the boys and even got the tea etc.
I finished the second set of special scrubs and I did 3 masks followed by a little light relief of shortening 4 prs trousers because finding before making the second set of special scrubs.
it was a busy day.
I managed to relax and have a hot bath and try to ease my back where my pain is the most.
tomorrow we start all over againWhen I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.5 -

Morning on a rather damp Sunday morning.
I am up with the boys as usual.
dgs2 only woke once, but he took an age to get to sleep last night.6.20 is much better than 5 anything!
Biggests husband is going to put up some shelves etc for me in the cabin today. All safe distancing of course.
I am going to see if I can put the zips in for Molly41 today. I think I have enough dexterity in my hand now.
I had hoped that I would be better by now, but It is wishful thinking. The back is still not very good, it kept me awake a lot last night.
I am going to make sure I get up and move around more today. My plan is to do paying jobs first now, as people are adapting to leaving things with instructions at the door.I have orders for private Scrubs/uniforms for some Podiatrists and some chiropractors. Who are hoping to return to work. So I have about £350 worth of work. Which will ease the pressure on the purse strings a little.
Dgd is slowly coming out of her room for longer periods of time, and is attempting to do some homework, but not as much as I would like. I just have to acknowledge the small wins.
Boys are both well and thriving with the ability to go to school, although I am hoping Dgs1 will not have so many meltdowns this coming week.
Did I say that I am hoping to start making Pjamas after the scrubs are no longer needed? I might reserrect my shop on Etsy or a similar site.I am also toying with the idea of some children's clothes, but it will depend on my samples I suppose. I certainly want to do more making than alterations if I can.Washing up done, time to load washing machine then change the strapping on my hand ready to face the day properly.
All postal orders are winging their way through the system of Royal Mail. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.8 -
I'm glad you have managed to get your analgesics and hope that today is less painful for you.

As I understand SS is having family enter through the back garden and maintain social distancing.
I still feel though that's household mixing, which unless for care purposes or child custody isn't currently allowed.
And for Biggests family is a non essential reason for leaving home.
SS did say she is aware of lockdown and takes it seriously but I don't think having family round for sewing related purposes is essential.
Just my opinion, yes I see the rules as black and white whereas others will interpret shades of grey.
I think most of us would like to be doing what SS is doing but realise that wouldn't be a good idea.3 -
I agree. As far as I am aware we can only leave hone for the permitted purposes. A daughter coming to help with sewing is not essential. I speak to my family via phone . I can deliver essentials but have to distance for a few minutes chat on the doorstep.

If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.3 -
Are we all not helping the NHS by staying at home and only leaving it for essential purposes...
