luckily I feel a bit better today.I have sorted out the boys and took them to school and nursery. I have collected Dgs1 now, as he is only in mornings.
dgs2 is in till 6pm although I will get him early if I can.
I enjoyed the walks and it didn't seem to cause me a problem. Just don't ask me to bend at the waist at the moment.
I washed up breakfast bowls as dgd did the bulk of the washing up yesterday. I also managed to hang out washing as it was only some small bits and pieces and dgs2s blanket that is hard to prize from him.It is a beautiful day and the wind is great for drying things.
its recycle bin day, and as soon as they emptied it, I half filled it again!
something that has crept up is the plastic and cardboard waste
I also had to throw out a whole loaf of bread that had gone mouldy!!
it is not lasting in this heat.
DS has taken the shopping list and gone to Aldi for me.
I have had two vouchers for Tesco to use, but I will use them when I need any little bits in the express shop.
If I could get dgd to function outside of the twilight zone it would be great.
I haven't attempted to sew yet.
I will see about it later once DS is back from shopping.

so sorry to hear about your back, SS
i hope it eases soon.
hb2 is right about the ironing of masks - the heat kills any virus or germs that might be left on them after washing.4 -
I have had a good day so far. Seem less stressed and a lot calmer. Haven't tried to do any sewing. I think I will do some tomorrow and see how my hand is.
it is more of an ache than a pain now. (Unless I do something silly!).
DS did the shopping, he was gone several hours, but he went to my Mums and helped her put away a huge shop my brother organised via his daughters account. So I will be scanning in a cheque from Mum and transferring the money back to him, who gave it to his daughter. Don't ask why it couldn't be sent direct, but my Mum won't do online banking.dGD has done some school work without my intervention. Let's hope that she will start to want to do it and learn again.
DGS1 wants beans on toast for his tea so that's lovely and easy to do.Dgs1 gets dinner at nursery this evening.
win win. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.3 -

Gintomalinda,
i did send you a message the other day.
email notification might be in your spam folder?
I have made you two masks, is that enough? Let me know and where I can post as I cannot find your address in my notes from last year.I made some for Molly41 and I have given one as a sample to another lady along with some fabric who is going to have a go.I am tired now though. FaceTime called children's Mum but they really are not that interested in talking to her, and I end up having to chat.Oh well Nevermind.
I missed the sewing bee last night do I am going to see if they will give me some peace and quiet and I can watch it.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.4 -
Thank you so very much hugs x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.2 -
I hope you managed to watch Sewing Bee in peace. I am a complete non-sewer but I do enjoy watching others doing it (along with pottery and other creative things). It's not difficult!

Been dying sheets and curtains tonight that have been donated for making scrubs.
my mission is as many medium size scrubs as possible. We have a quota of 90 sets to make, so collecting duvet covers and sheets etc as fabric is becoming scarce.
tea time I received the first bag of donations on my doorstep , they were white/cream but already they are now Olive Green.
I will tell you when they are scrubs.
Feeling good to be doing my bit for the NHS.Finally feeling I found my sewing purpose at the moment. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.7
