I didn't get very far with things yesterday.
I mostly sat in the front room with the boys. DS spent a lot of the day cleaning in the camper, and fixing things, cleaning out water tanks etc
with a lot of coercion dgd started on tidying up her bedroom. So the washing pile has just grown some what.
it was a tidy up, rest, tidy up kind of day.
I have loaned out one of my machines to a lady who is visiting her brother and now stuck here, to sew masks etc. In answer to a shout out on a local Facebook page.
if my sewing is limited I can at least still help others to sew.
I am hoping today will be as productive and I am hoping that I will be able to have some time to sort out a few things ready to make a few masks as requested. hopefully dgd will assist.Dgs2 slept from about 9.30 till 5.50 !
so he's been in my room since then. I. have tried to get him to go back to sleep but he wasn't having any of it. He's been playing with a few small cars and a lego robot, with Paw Patrol on the tv.
so I get my emails, random time wasting browsing etc done, while everyone else is able to sleep. He is cutting more teeth as he is dribbling and biting things. The sun is coming in through a gap in the curtains, so that will be a better day if we can use the garden etc.
have a good day everyone. Keep safe. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.5 -

S_s, I agree that you are awesome! I found one child hard enough to manage and seriously don't think I could take on young children now.
I saw on the news, yesterday, protests from Americans that lockdowns were unconstitutional etc. I'm sure that has been prompted by their President's attitude to this pandemic. I also saw that deaths from CV are soaring in the USA. Quelle surprise! It's not difficult!

It is a very risky time and Trump is an economic person, he's all about business and he just calls all news fake news as far as I can see. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.4

I have cut out 4 masks, after sorting out what elastic supplies I have. But stopped to do lunch.
I will take my lunchtime pain killers and then hopefully have my first attempt at sewing since I broke my hand.
The Sun means the boys are going in and out to the trampoline etc, and watching trolls on tv inbetween when resting! 😊
Mum is seemingly doing fine, although it has been 5 weeks since I saw her.
other then on Skype. My brother still calls twice a day.My sister when she remembers. But 2 out of 3 isn't too bad I suppose.
The bruises on my hand are fading, just a yellow tinge now. The swelling is not quite gone, and there are a lot of things that I am struggling with but it is a little easier each day. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.5 -

Really glad things are getting a little easier.5 -
LadyHarris said:Are these just cotton masks? if so they offer no protection and can cause problems due to cotton holding moisture i.e. if someone coughs /sneezes and droplets go onto the cotton they will be absorbed by it and the wearer then breathes through the cotton via their mouth or nose you need surgical grade or above to be effective
I followed the instructions from an American hospital that were asking for them to be made and donated to them.

Beanie I have messaged you.
I have managed to sew two of the masks, but got interrupted. I will do the others tomorrow.

SS~#I feel really bad now.
I did not mean for you to sew the masks yourself.
