I did not mean for you to sew the masks yourself.
Sorry
I am happy to be doing things, before I go stir crazy. I am going to have a go at a job each day as I have a few small jobs still in to finish.I need to touch base with my girls today, each of them were having their own bad day yesterday. I want to make sure that they are more positive today.
DS has done most of the things in the van that needed doing. Except for the brakes. But he is happy with the space.I am happy with the front room back.
I want to paint it when my hand is better, I bought paint just at the beginning of lockdown. I have a lot of little plans to do things when the hand is better.
My brother rang yesterday, he wants me to get DS to make some space in Mum's garage for a larder freezer, as he thinks she should have a contingency plan with meals etc in there incase I am unable to shop, and this isolation goes on even longer. While he is doing that I want to go and see what fabric etc is useable there. So I hope we will be able to do that when the boys are in daycare and school.
of which I better get them ready for.
Have a good day everyone. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.4 -
Good idea from your brother, Ss - I do think that we over 70s are going to be locked down for a lot longer yet :-( My friend lives 30 miles away from me, has always been extremely independent - but is 82. Before the lockdown started, he was trying to reassure me when we found that my local little Co-op had been wiped out that his Waitrose "would be fine" ... HA! Living in suburbia he found his circumstances worse than mine - and my son recommended that he should try Wiltshire Farm Foods - he was able to get on their list and has had a couple of orders from them, and he would recommend 98% of what he has had - and he says they are good value. He is sorted out now - thank goodness.

SS though its a good idea from your brother freezers are like hens teeth at the moment from what I understand so if there isn't one already to hand its not something thats going to be obtained overnight, Cur-PcW are showing 10-21 days dispatch for the majority of their options- Mortgage: 1st one down, 2nd also busted

Even before this kicked off, we had ordered meal from these people - https://www.parsleybox.com/ Their USP is that the meals don't need to be chilled or frozen but still have a shelf life of 6 months. They can be heated in the micro for just 3 minutes. The meal we have eaten was OK, although not huge portions, we are hanging onto the rest for now. If anyone wants to order, use the code 'friend24' and you will get the special offer of 10 meals (plus 2 mini bottles of wine) for 19.99 (free delivery). It's not difficult!
'Wander' - to walk or move in a leisurely manner.
'Wonder' - to feel curious.2 -
Have heard good reports about parsley box.

I might get her an order sorted. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.3 -
I thought I might try the Parsley Box, but someone who is a very good, cook from scratch cook did not rate them, I absolutely realise that taste is subjective, so might well try a batch at some point. I do know that my mum was very happy with Wiltshire Fresh Foods for about 3 years before she gave up her home, the main advantages to her were that they were a complete meal with vegetables and that they offer a smaller and standard portion size. She ordered by phone most weeks (no massive freezer space) and the office staff were kind and efficient, the delivery person the same and the order would be placed directly into her freezer. It also meant the she had contact with people outside the family a couple of times a week. Not sure how it works with social distancing, but I am sure they have it covered. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)3

We used Wiltshire Farm Foods for Mum and most of them were OK, some better than others as with most things. The reason I particularly mentioned Parsley Box is that they don't need to be frozen/chilled.It's not difficult!
