Our Moo is doing a stirling job re scrubs and masks she even gets a mention in our local online newspaper xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.9 -
One blue duvet cover is now cut out into 2 pairs of trousers and three tops for the scrubs. Tomorrow I would hope to sew them. I had to stop after tracing the pattern and cutting out, and making 3 masks this morning.
then it was children time ofcourse.
we have had about 24 sheets/covers donated in my first 24hours of asking.I hope that the online newsletter will help bring in more too.
I am rather sore now, the back doesn't like bending over the table cutting out.
I was going to watch Vera but my skybox is not getting a signal again.
I have been faffing about with my emails etc, and writing to a company asking for help with supplies of further dyes as I don't have any of the right colours left.
I am definitely ready for bed now.
fingers crossed for a good night sleep. Last night Dgs2 slept all night, until 6 this morning.
Dgs1 went to breakfast club and then school until 1pm. I took him and his Daddy collected him.
DGD surfaced at lunchtime. I wish she would get up earlier..
i didn't get out into the sun today, too busy. But we now have 8 sheets and a set of curtains dyed, and the trimming and buttons removed, header tape removed and side seams split from the curtains.'All in all a good day.Night people x

Beanie have your masks arrived yet?
I have had a reasonable night. I went to sleep with the electric blanket on high for an hour and listening to a hypnosis tape about Rising Above the Challenges!
Dgs 2 woke up once and then was up with a knights helmet on and shouting charge at me at 5.50am
i managed to get him out of the Bedroom before he woke his brother, and he has been playing around with me. His brother woke just before 6.45
transformers on the TV and singing
round and round the garden and lots of mountaineering on Granny's bed and granny. granny help falling in the lava is Dgs2 current chant.Which involves him wriggling to the edge of the bed, and me grabbing him by the ankles and dragging him back on the bed.
Time to go down to properly face the day. XWhen I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.3 -

I sent two each so one can be washed, dried and ironed to kill bugs.It is suggested cloth masks should be changed after two hours as they get damp from breath.
if you have a paper hoover bag, they make good filters that can be inserted in the gap. ( and throw away).Today I sewed from lunchtime.
Sewed three scrub tops, had a break, then while waiting for my chinese I made a pair of trousers . 5 1/2 hours all told.
The fenbid has helped my hand, and tonight I am sitting with a hot water bottle behind me.I have been collecting duvets and sheets etc and have been donated so many it's amazing. Mind you on Thursday the total orders were 3,000 by this morning it was 7,000 sets.!!This is going to be a marathon, even though there is about 350-500 volunteers doing various jobs.
so that's an average of 17 sets each!
Eek.Vera on catchup time. Before bed. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.5 -
