It's great to hear you sounding more positive S_s and especially good that you have got your creative mojo back
I'm sorry that your mum is now too frail to travel on her own, I expect that realisation was hard for her. As she is not sewing much at the moment, are there other 'crafty' things she might enjoy doing?
I feel your pain regarding car repairs, mine broke down on the way home on Sunday night and we had to get the rescue service out. Fortunately, we managed with just the one car between us until it was fixed yesterday. It's not difficult!

How are you doing re stocks of ibuprofen? I haven't seen any in shops around here for a good couple of weeks now! Having said that I have a friend who says they have ibuprofen but haven't seen any paracetamol. Also another friend who imports paracetamol as a very small part of her business & she hasn't been able to even order any for weeks!

My OH managed to find me one box of paracetamol today. I can't take ibuprofen long-term but would take the odd one if in dire need! It's not difficult!

I've got three boxes of 16 in, but I am trying not to take it all the time and use the gels as much as possible. But if I go out I suppose that's something to add to my list. I have quite a few boxes of paracetamol stashed away from when I gained some of my mums stock pile!Today I created another reversible skirt this time with an asymmetric hem line and finished the top I had started yesterday.
I would have draughted up another pattern this afternoon but we had the dentist check up for all the family. All the kids got a well done, I got an improvement but still going to get a clean around my implant in about 10 days time.
dgd had to go back to the doctors so I got DS to take her so I could keep the fitting and collection appointments and keep working. She has a bruised kneecap and been told to ice, elevate and take ibuprofen. So that meant no school again! This is getting rediculously monotonous now.
I am tired tonight so as soon as the boys were in bed I have come to bed too.
DS has just messaged me that he has gone to his GFs to sleep because he is tired and has a headache. I sarcastically typed back
is it alright if I go to GFs to sleep?
yes of course DS!
perhaps the sarcasm might not escape him!

Sitting on my bed listening to small people who have no intention of going to sleep.
I will finish my glass of wine and keep listening, as long as nobody is killing anyone, and they are not fighting I am not going to interfere.
although I think dgs2 is doing all the talking!
made a block dress today, loving just making things. If I didn't need to work I think I would spend the rest of my life looking at material and deciding what to make from it and just create.
never felt so calm, (relaxed), and at peace with things as far as I can remember.
I hope that everyone is well, and that the current covid19 is not impacting on you too much.
I have had several brides have to cancel their weddings, and we are wondering if Proms will be going ahead. Serious impact on my business and those of the shops that I contract work with.
several of my shop owner friends are already starting to struggle as people are now not frequenting their shops.

several of my shop owner friends are already starting to struggle as people are now not frequenting their shops.Would you be able to add one of your makes to the daily work? Being creative does bring you joy and I'm pretty sure you could sell online. I know you used to do it when you had the shop.Sorry to hear dgd is having problems with her joints has the GP investigated what may be the cause.A friend of mine has lost some wedding orders as the weddings were to take place abroad. I suppose proms depend on whether schools go ahead or not. All schools in this region have cancelled ski trips to Italy and France on medical advice. There's work ongoing to try to develop a vaccine. In the NW we have the school of tropical medicine and Liverpool uni medical team who are on the case.. However although they're making progress it may take some time.We had a taste of self isolation. After the Noravirus followed by flu Superdoc advised dd to stay indoors while he checked things out. She was off the immune suppressant for the past three weeks and again today. Thankfully it was just flu for us both and I avoided Norovirus. She was housebound for nearly 3 weeks. We had a sudden emergency vet visit with one of the cats on Monday but she remained indoors. The surgery phoned early this morning , she was due her 2 weekly visit to Superdoc today but he did a phone appt instead . Luckily we have a medical grade thermometer so he could check her temperature and do all the checks he normally does . She's to monitor each day. All her appts will be by phone for a while . he doesn't suspect Coronavirus , However if she begins to go downhill he plans to move her to the hospital by the school for tropical medicine so it's just wait and see. She's looking a bit better now so hopefully all will be well and it's just flu recovery time. It's reassuring though he has a plan if things go awry.I had to pick up meds 10 days ago so my selfisolation was 9 days. I was going stir crazy but needs must.I picked up more meds this afternoon and while things are up and down he'll be sending prescriptions straight to the pharmacy.I hope all here are well. After staying logged in I found I was logged out so have had to sign in again.Take care allpollyxIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.
There but for fortune go you and I.5 -
