dgd had to go back to the doctors so I got DS to take her so I could keep the fitting and collection appointments and keep working. She has a bruised kneecap and been told to ice, elevate and take ibuprofen. So that meant no school again! This is getting rediculously monotonous now.
I'm guessing it was the ice and elevation that made school difficult.
Polly, I'm glad that your daughter is recovering, albeit slowly, and that superdoc is living up to his name. It's not difficult!

everyone has to take care at the moment. It was the ice and elevate that stopped school. We have had a letter from school today that says that they are organising a way for all children to access their work via go 4 schools account and Microsoft 365, something they were planning to bring in in the future but now are bringing forward. This system will certainly help me to keep DGd up to date with her work.
I am going to see what I can make out of all my stash of fabrics and see if I can sell them myself, as soon as I have finished this dotty stuff. If I can make some more money that way rather than alterations I would be a happy bunny.
I need to adapt my website and find out why I cannot access my shop that I was supposed to have as I can see it on the dashboard but cannot see how to publish it .When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.6 -

I need to adapt my website and find out why I cannot access my shop that I was supposed to have as I can see it on the dashboard but cannot see how to publish it .That's good news about the school sorting access to pupils work. It will be a help to know what dgd is expected to keep up with .I'm glad you're going to honour your creative side. I miss seeing the makes you used to feature when you were running the shop so hope you can sort out the problem with the missing shop. Was it Biggest who set it up? Maybe she can sort it.Re the dotty stuff I think I may have come across the designer online. I was imagining tiny dots and lines from your first ever mentions of the fabrics but if he's bold and vivid colours I can see why his work got your attention. I've tried to figure out his style but it's very diverse and interesting.Hope you have a good weekend.pollyx

I am going to bed, DS took the boys out to the GFs at lunchtime and I didn't do very much of anything today. My joints ache with all the rain.
I have ordered some turmeric capsules as I have run out of the paste.
Getting rather concerned about the state of everything with the shops being empty etc as I don't have as much in my storecupboard as I used to do when things were tight. Although I do have loo roll as I get that delivered every 6 months anyway, and my washing tabs are also delivered about every 6 weeks.
I think I may be very greatful for such a large garden if we are all expected to stay home for any length of time.
I think our holiday at easter is probably going to be cancelled, which is DGS birthday so that's going to be a little upsetting, but I suppose for the greater good it is inevitable.
Mum is very worried about being in the at risk category.Right I need sleep.
fingers crossed that I will have a few decent hours before the crying starts.

Dgs2 woke at 5.30. Tried getting him to go back to sleep but he wasn't having any of it.
took him down to his Dad and came back to bed for just over an hour.
I have to move now, but could easily roll over and do nothing.I must move!!
hope everyone is as well as can be, considering all our various health issues.

I don't deal well with uncertainty but I think I am going to get a lot of practice in the coming weeks/months! It was our son's birthday yesterday, he needed to be in London but planned to come home next weekend (which is Mother's Day). However, he said yesterday that he is currently 50:50 on whether to come. OH and I are supposed to be going up to London to see 'The cursed child' next month but suspect that the show will be cancelled. On Friday we payed the balance for our July cruise to the Baltics but will have to wait until much nearer the time before we make a decision about that. And this is just the start . . .It's not difficult!

Yes we have a caravaning holiday at Easter all booked and paid for, so dgd gets to see her Mum, and it's one of the boys birthday. We were taking DSs GF and her children too. Can't see that happening now. Waiting for the site to update us.
My bed finally broke, well and truely collapsed when I tried to move it to vacuum yesterday morning. Luckily I ordered a new one a few weeks ago. So chasing delivery on that one.
yesterday was a lovely day, so after I had sorted out the boxes that were under the bed I went out into the garden with dgs2, and dug a small part of the garden a bit further up from my last attempt, and with all the strength I could muster I took up the plastic paving and put it back down on top of a membrane to reduce the speed of the grass and mud coming through it. I walked to school to collect Dgs1 with dgs2 in the buggy.
I enjoyed it. The boys played out in the garden while I finished the path. Boy it was an effort though.
the kids watched the new release of Frozen 2 that we ordered in November, while I did the evening meal.
With Boris announcing the advice to not visit pubs etc DS has lost all his shifts at the pub, so financially he is going to be even worse off as he is still living in the overdraft despite all my advice.
I am relieved that my funding is through although it is nearly £30 a week less than the fostering allowance was.
I have had to reduce the amount I was saving for the children to £15 a week each at the moment.
DGS2 woke at 2.30 and again at 5am.
he wouldn't go back to sleep, I tried lying down with him but he was not having any of it, so to let everyone else sleep he came into my room. Which means that I have been awake for nearly two hours now.
at least I have done the bank balances, and checked all the emails etc before really launching into the day.
I have had an email from Aldi saying that they are working hard to restock and if people just did their normal shopping it would help, but meanwhile they are restricting purchases to 4 of any one thing. Which I actually noticed on Saturday when the couple in front of me had 6 bottles of wine. But all they did was he bought 4 of them and she bought the other two.
Nearly time to wake the rest of the family. I am hoping that the fact there are only 9 cases of C 19 in Northamptonshire that they will keep the school open a bit longer.I don't fancy 12 weeks or more with the children home, and DS with no work. Heaven knows what work I will still get. Lots of my customers are elderly or brides, and weddings etc are getting cancelled.Worrying times. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.4
