I'm glad that the boys can stay in school (you said 'next week' are they reviewing this week by week?), I can imagine it would have been very hard to keep 2 energetic boys occupied and home school GD!

We had a few good hours out in the garden today. I actually caught the sun on my face. Although because we were gardening and sorting out the old shed etc my body is protesting now.
I have had a long soak in the tub, with a glass of wine, ( yes I know, I had been alcohol free for a considerable time).
and with the last of my cash we had a chinese tonight.
boys talked to Mum and nanny on the video call and telephone.
they were more interested in the call from nanny. That says a lot.
dgd is just beginning to realise that the situation in the world is not good.
on the plus side we did manage to get her outside for a while to help clear the shed out etc.
I have told her that I will be getting her up at 8.30 on Monday so she's ready to do PE at 9 am!
    what a look I got.
I told her that now is the time that she shows her willingness to learn at home and be homeschooled as she wanted. If she learns and is successful I said I would consider homeschooling her after the crisis is over.

I am off to bed now.
Hope everyone is well. Stay safe.

Well I wonder what today will bring, the Sun is up at least.
DS has built a sort of seating stage up near the top of the garden where his forge is, and the fire pit.
I think we will be sitting up there later on in the year as the weather improves.
I am hoping that we will be able to sort out my solar power system that I bought last year. I will be trying to make as much use of the garden as I can with the family,
and using the rest of the pallets he collected I am hoping to make a raised bed for my vegetables etc.
I have brought in a vase of daffodils that were growing too close to the trampoline steps and the boys were starting to stand on.
I appear to have a lot of random daffodils coming up.
I presume that they were disturbed when next door were digging up their footings etc and had to dig up part of my garden to get the water supply back on. Makes it interesting.

Wishing you all a 'Happy Mothers' Day'.

Yes, GD is old enough to understand that this is a very difficult time for many people/countries across the world. I hope she takes well to the home schooling, it has been shown that people learn better after a bit of exercise, so 9am PE is a good idea if you can face it!

I'm going  out to give 'car choir' a go today - this is being organised by the lady who runs my Wednesday choir.  The idea is that we all park up at a distance of at least 2m from each other, open our car windows (or get out and stand by our cars if we prefer) and sing along. If it works well she will probably use it on Wednesdays to replace our usual choir session.

I've also signed up for Gareth Malone's 'Great British Home Choir' but don't yet know how that is going to work.
