Yes we have the double appointment in the morning. Everyone else seems to have recovered.
DS is not coming home tonight either so I suppose that is actually easier for me.
one day my day will go as planned out!

one day my day will go as planned out!Good luck tomorrow and wishing you some sleep tonight and less hassle tomorrow. The icing on the cake would be the funding going into the bank too.reading about you needing to replace your phone it's best to get into the habit of keeping phone, kindle etc away from little ones.pollyxIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.

I did also hear about a scam coronavirus NHS call doing the rounds
I've no doubt you can cope without DS, perhaps think of the positives of him not being there. It would be much easier for you to get everyone into a routine with less stress etc and maybe everyone would settle down better and adjust to the new family dynamic.
As you have admitted he is taking the proverbial, he is not going to change or improve, the situation will only carry on in the same stressful way until you do something different, ie ask him to leave.6 -
Had a phone call from a social worker this evening ( bless him he must be working late), he chased up my payments and said that they will be paying me on the 13th. Phew.
he also told me that I need to know that the funds for dgd will stop on her 16th Birthday as that was the policy when my SGO was made for her. ( school leaving age), but that is now 18. So I will have a two year funding gap and I better make plans. Right!
so I need a regular payment into a high end savings or investment account then. More research required. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.5 -
Good news on payment on the 13th.
At least you know it's coming.
That's a bit of a bumble bee on the pennies for DGD. Will you still be able to get CB & CTC? I'm glad the social worker has got payments sorted out. Sorry that you are going to have a funding gap for Gd but at least you have found out now rather than at the last minute. It's not difficult!

I'm no expert but I recall child benefit had to be extended for those still in full time education. Maybe one of those who've advised you in the past over funding etc will know re SGOs.pollyxlIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.

I am going to have to pace myself today, we have already been awake an hour.
unfortunately dgs2 woke Dgs1 this time, and though I tried to get both back to sleep it didn't work, and Dgs1 sneaked downstairs and was on the google hub watching YouTube with in minutes of my putting dgs2 into my bed to try and keep him quiet and get him to go back to sleep, so I had to abandon that idea and come down stairs with the pair of them. I can't trust Dgs1 on his own downstairs.
he had a meltdown when I turned google off, and only allowed the tv on quietly, the skybox is not getting a signal? So we are watching prerecorded paw patrol. I would rather that then Gummy Bear at this time of the morning.
with DS not here I am going to have to take dgs2 with me to the doctors etc which is a nuisance, but I will just have to get used to that. Moving forward I will just not rely on him being around, although I believe that the GF has a new job to start next week, so during the day perhaps he will be about from then.
who knows with him. His retest for the HGV theory is on the 23rd.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.5 -
I feel your pain about toddlers not sleeping .....last night twin2 decided that no, she was not going to sleep - she was up with mum at 11.30pm demanding biscuits & juice (and she'd eaten a good dinner at 6pm too). Mum & Dad are having to sleep separately with these two little horrors - twin 1 falls asleep fairly easily - but twin 2 always wants to stay awake, and if they are together, she will then wake her sister up, her sister will cry because she needs her sleep ....when they eventually sleep twin 1 will cough (part of her ongoing TOFS problem) and will then wake up twin 2. As they can both get out of their cots, they have been put away now, and Mum sleeps with twin 2 in their bedroom and Dad sleeps with twin 1 in the girls' bedroom .....good job that I kept my spare double bed! Twin 1 is up now and enjoying breakfast and twin 2 is still snoozing away. I wonder if the difference is because they were separated for the first 9 weeks of their lives whilst twin 1 was in NICU. I can see problems in the future though unless they can be "trained" ........ (I offer advice, which is sometimes taken, sometimes not!)
Has DS paid for his re-test?
