I wonder if Biggest might be able to have a word with DGD as it had an impact last time with the refusing to get up for school but equally she might need a female ear & not want to bother you all the time with her worries.- Mortgage: 1st one down, 2nd also busted

I did as little as possible yesterday. Listened to an audiobook, slept, and read some books on Mending.
although to be honest the only thing I learned was two Japanese terms for mending that is really just visible mending.
I thought I would study and see if I could learn anything new, but I think that I might gleam one or two things occasionally, and I have more knowledge then I realised.
I have two little people curled up in my bed beside me this morning. I am going to take them down in a few minutes.
it sounds wet out there.

I woke Dgd several times, and I didn't shout. She was not ready at school time, so I took the children to school and DS spoke to her. She was waiting for me to come home sitting in my cosy corner, so I sat down beside her and talked to her, tried to find out what she was thinking, but she doesn't seem to know what is wrong. I explained that we all have to do things we don't want to do in life, and also I once again to try and explain that "if you think you can, you will, if you think you can't, you won't."
and then I explained that nobody else can change her mind for her, it is her decision, but I also explained that if she won't go for her own benefit would she go for mine? My job is to sew and earn, her job is to grow and learn. That if she doesn't go to school that I could end up in prison, and what would happen to those two little boys if that happens and where would she go?
it took her another 75 minutes to get her shower and dressed but I got her to school at 11.05.
at least she is in school.
as I left I told her that it's taken 2 hours out of my working day which is equal to £60 lost. So her Sorry, unfortunately doesn't cut it anymore.
I am shattered, and too be honest I probably won't be working today, but she doesn't need to know that.
my Brother is over from France and coming up to see Mum today, so yesterday Ds's GF helped me and changed Mums beds, and hoovered etc and DS cleared out the vacuum filters etc for her.
so I know that the place will be clean enough for inspection!!
I had a quick button to sew on for a gentleman today, and it was so satisfying to know that I had a very similar button in my button box, as when I was looking for something else I happened to remember which box I had seen it in amongst about 1,000 buttons (if not more).
One satisfied customer in a few minutes. (While waiting for Dgd to sort her self out!).

Another long term poster with a new log in
DGD sounds like a typical teen i am afraid this is the start of the turbulent teenage years you need to start as you mean to go on there needs to be consequences for her actions i.e. no internet, electrical items or cinema if not ready for school homework not done at the moment there are only consequences for you its a tough time for her i certainly wouldn't want to be a teen again all those raging hormones and being told to act like an adult but not allowed to do the things an adult does no thank you Good luck x6 -
Do you think DGD is frightened of school? I remember that my DD (who you know well) had terrible issues with bullying don't want to worry you as Im sure it has improved. Well done on persisting and getting her there though hugs (London was very painful and the journey was awful ) hugs xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.7
