Forgot to wish you good luck at the Drs tomorrow Ss. So many people seem to have pretty harsh coughs at the moment. My bronchitis is back so antibiotics. I hope Dr can help with the neck and spine problem. Wear and tear doesn't help but worth getting it checked out.Very good news about the child benefit. Just keep the purse locked and your lips sealed.pollyxIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.

I have channelled half of the money into the savings pot to help pay for the rest of the summer holidays.
at least moving forward I know what money I need to earn to keep us afloat.
I enjoyed my sewing time yesterday as I had a mixture of small repairs, hems and makes. I finished cutting out two waistcoats and started to sew one of them before I had a couple of clients in the evening, then after kids were in bed, I retired to my room to write my diary, and then read.
I was much later than I intended as it took a while for dgs2 to settle, although he woke in the night he was soon asleep again and didn't wake up until 6.55 this morning.
although I woke at 5.15 and couldn't get back to sleep so by 5.45 I gave up trying, made tea, and read till 7am
The boys are well enough to go to holiday club this morning so I am just about ready to take them, get fuel, and then get back for the doctors. Although I am having problems with my health I am hoping we can sort it out.

S_s, I share your hope that your health problems can be sorted out - preferably quickly. It's not difficult!

The day has flown by!
school run, then trip to Petrol station, followed by a visit to the garage for replacement headlight bulb, and chase a part I am still waiting for.
then home to deal with phone calls etc. Then I was about to go to see when my Mum rang wanting some food shopping done, so I rearranged my morning, and after sorting out a Replacement log book and SORN on my old car, then went to Mums town via a drop off of my kindle and a screen for my son in law to fix and then to Mum, got her list, sorted something out for her, then went and did her shopping and took it back to her, did mine at the same time. Sorted some fabric out from the garage and came home in time for a client at 1.45
then I had a snack lunch, and have been moving on the washing etc. Decided it wasn't worth going outside as I have to go and get the boys for 3pm
i think I will take the day as easily as I can around the family.

Oh and I went to the doctor.
he has booked me in for a set of blood tests to check/confirm things but he suspects that I do have some form of arthritis, as the way my finger joints are twisting and the pain points . He is going to check my Thyroid because of the weight loss too.
he wasn't my usual doctor although I have seen him before, but he was as he said "in awe of the fact that I have taken on the family considering that most people who are nearly 60 would be expected to be taking life more slowly.
I told him that it was important that I looked after myself or how could I look after anyone else.
he asked if I had a partner at home and when I said no, my BF exited a while ago over all this, but DS still lives at home, he said well basically you have 4 children then!
yep I do.

I look forward to Saturday afternoons now, as the little ones go to see their other family and Dgd and I get a few hours to go to the cinema etc
dgd2 woke at 5.55 this morning, which is slightly better, but wanting Gummy Bear music the minute he wakes is no fun. Trying to side track him with other things.
DS is away for the weekend, so I don't need to worry about keeping them up stairs once dgs1 wakes up.
I have only one customer booked in today this morning so Dgd will sit in the house with the boys while I nip in the cabin for a few minutes.
but I will not be sewing until Tuesday now, I would expect.

I like the sound of that Dr Ss. He sounds pretty thorough. When you talk about pain points was he checking various parts of your boday for pain? If so he may be testing for fibro.Hope you and GD enjoy the cinema and time together just the two of you. Try to make the most of the break from sewing to give your joints a rest, you'll still have the young ones to look after but try not to be lifting them, tell them granny is hurting.pollyxIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.
