I have taken some work to the other Seamstress to do.
I will try to get a rhythm again today.
But I still need to get off my backside and get everybody ready for school.

were all sitting in my bedroom on gadgets!Hope you enjoyed your time with your friend last night Ss. After the xbox problems with ds and dgd perhaps it's better to keep gadgets for after school , work etc and have a different morning routine so the little ones don't see it as a norm. I know they wake early but better to work on keeping them in their room with a book or something. Your room was meant to be your sanctuary and it's no longer that.Hope the boiler is behaving today beanie.pollyx
It is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.
There but for fortune go you and I.4 -

I did a little better with my structure in the day yesterday.
I don't allow Xbox etc in the mornings, but if I leave dgs2 in the bedroom he will climb up the ladder and jump on his brother and wake him up, then we have the ww3 as they fight etc. There is no peace for anybody then.
It may be a bit of lazy parenting on my behalf but it is best for my nerves, to bring him into my room and let him watch children's videos on the google hub thing, sat beside me, while I make my tea, and read or write than to be referee, in a screaming and biting match!
we have a calm start to the day then, and usually at 7.15 I stop the gadgets and come down to start the day. Much more civilised and calm.
then it's a brioche while I sort the clothes, washing up etc (if I didn't get it done the night before), and then cereal etc and dressed for school.
it is Dgd that is the difficult one, we put restrictions on her Xbox, but she will then do something else when I have gone to bed, and it's frustrating to get her up in the morning.
I am going to be trying to change the morning routine a bit when half term is over.
I am also thinking of going on the waiting list for extra sessions at Breakfast club etc as Dgd1 really loves going to breakfast club, and it spreads the school drop off times and makes it a lot easier for me on the mornings he goes.
I will be gathering my bills etc from there and working out what I am paying to see if I can claim on my tax credits for some of the costs, and I will then be able to get into my workshop earlier in the day and be more productive.

Ss, spreading out the school run sounds a great idea if it is possible. It's not difficult!
'Wander' - to walk or move in a leisurely manner.
'Wonder' - to feel curious.4 -
Could your son contribute to the costs? Breakfast club is not hugely expensive as i recall.

I am funded for the children now so he doesn't need to pay me money, and I would rather he continues to do down his debts.

That is cheap. I’m sure i paid more than that when mine was in primary school a good few years ago. I was thinking more of dad stumping up rather than the tax payer to be honest. Every penny counts and all that.6

Spent the afternoon taking Biggest's girls to the swimming pool followed by McDonald's.
dgd wasn't too well so she didn't come this time but I hope that we will be able to do it again soon with her.
I am waiting for the boys to be returned from the other family, I hope that they are back soon as the weather here is not too good and my fence panels are down between us and the family with 5 dogs!
I hope that they will sort it as they put it up originally when I first moved in.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.4 -
I'm sorry that gd wasn't up to joining in yesterday, I hope you enjoyed your time with the girls.
Also hope that your neighbours will sort out the fence, one would think they wanted their dogs secured. It's not difficult!

I have done very little today except rotate the washing/drying and doing the odd survey etc now I have a new battery in the iPhone.
the new screen has arrived for my kindle so I will be asking Biggest's Hubby to change it out for me as although it came with tools I wouldn't know where to begin.
but I would really like to read books on it rather than my iPhone screen.
dS was at work until late last night and has a 12 hour shift today. So we have hardly spoken.
my holiday bookings went wrong and I ended up paying for it twice so I was sorting that out yesterday afternoon and this morning.
but of course the refund will take a few days to be returned to my card!
I have also been looking at the wasted food in the fridge from making meals that were either too big a portion or were not eaten due to various people missing their dinner.
I have rooted through the freezer as well.
I am going to try to use up what hadn't gone off, and have made the mash and peas into patties and fried them off, I shall try the kids on them with sausages tonight.
I made myself an omelette to use up the two mushrooms I had left in the fridge.
I have one cooked chicken breast to do something with, I might just use out in a sandwich for one or two of the others, or throw in some frozen veg and an onion and curry it up. As long as I don't throw it out like I had to the spaghetti bolognese from mid week!!
time to follow the frugal challenges to try and use up store cupboards goods etc.
Dgs2 is asleep and I need to wake him, dgs1 has been playing but is now eating popcorn and playing on an old iPhone of his Dads.
dgd had a rough day and night, she slept in my bed in the end, and has surfaced only to go back up again.
