My idea of hell. You're a braver woman than I Ss. I hope you all have a good time. Ear defenders may have been a good idea.I did figure out the first post last post thing last night hb2 but your post may help someone else.I'd posred here yesterday and on OS last night . Tried to login this morning and locked out. Youngest is at her boyfri for the weekend suffering the after effects of the Methotrexate which are seldom good. She's gamely repied to my emails whilr I tried logging in, First of all she'd put the new password in my book yesterday with a hyphen either end and in uppercase. When I queried that eventually she replied it's for clarity you need to use lowercase in the box. There looked to be a space between the letterd and numbers so another is there or isn't there supposed to be a space email from me. Answer no space. So password was once more accepted but not the user name I kept faffing around with it. There used to be a hyphen between name and numbers but seemed to shown as a space now.I tried space no space and then the hyphen still no joy. Then a reply from dd try all lowercase. well I had a Homer Simpson moment looked at what I'd tried and realised my user name has a lower case p. Now back thankfully and don't intend to log out ever again. I've ripped the page out of my password book and written all the info correctly this time. I wish she'd have mentioned her for clarity idea yesterday but all seems back to normal now.I do like the look of the new forum very clear.pollyx

I'm seeing a blank page with my previous post but clicking on it brings it up. No idea what that's about.Since that post my adapter/charger blew up when I plugged it in. I am officially cursed! About an hour left on the battery anf thankfully laptop is fine. All the effort to get back in and now this.Take care allpollyxIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.

we had a good start to the party but Dgd had a couple of slight episodes but we left early as he didn't like the noise.
which was a good thing for me as I had time to get home and hand them to nanny before my first bride arrived.
at 3ish I decided to have a nap.
still having to prioritise my health at the moment. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.5 -
Well done for surviving the hordes Ss. Good to see your focusing on your health more.I was emailing back and forth to a friend on another part of the forum today and battery went down to need to plug in level. Not exactly lemonade but had a bit of a lightbulb moment. I remembered one of the two chargers from the Dell was still in the house. The damaged end on the HP one was the end that goes into the plug. The Dell one is identical and a perfect fit to the HP one that goes into the laptop. I just checked and battery is now up to 50% and charging. This is either one of my better ideas or may not be! Didn't want to disturb dd and boyfriend with yet another problem after the login fiasco. So I'm leaving them in peace until she's home. If you hear a loud bang it'll be not one of my better ideas.Stay warm and safe all. Seems most of us will get the storms.Just realised I've missed most of Casualty. I hope this is the last forum change for many years.pollyxIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.

Every time I come to this thread, the comment box is showing the first post I made here after the forum re-opened. Not the end of the world, not even lemonade material, but strange nevertheless! It's not difficult!

hb2 I found that too! you have to log out then log back in, that worked for me, it was a bit odd seeing my comment again and again til I twigged!4

I find it particularly strange that it is the first post I see, not the last! It's not difficult!

Lazy day today.
booked 2nd half of the family summer holiday in France. So it's real now.
11 of us to Disney followed by camping near Paris for a few days afterward.
I am waiting for the paperwork from court so I can get the passports sorted, then the tunnel.
and anything extra needed while we exit Europe.
I had a lucky escape when dgs2 knocked a new cup of tea over me when he launched himself at me.
I have never moved so fast, and dragged my dress off.
I had cold flannels on my chest and hip for about 20 minutes. I have got away with a small mark. By my bra strap. It could have been so much worse for both of us. He didn't get touched by it.
I had a rough night and he has been a winge bag all day. I will be glad to get to bed tonight.
I have a lot of work to do all of a sudden. It creeps up on me now I am not sewing every day.
hope computer is ok PollyWhen I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.7
