I did figure out the first post  last post thing last night hb2 but your post may help someone else.

I'd posred here yesterday and on OS last night . Tried to login this morning and locked out. Youngest is at her boyfri for the weekend suffering the after effects of the Methotrexate which are seldom good. She's gamely repied to my emails whilr I tried logging in, First of all she'd put the new password in my book yesterday with a hyphen either end and in uppercase. When I queried that eventually she replied it's for clarity you need to use lowercase in the box. There looked to be a space between the letterd and numbers so another is there or isn't there supposed to be a space email from me. Answer no space. So password was once more accepted but not the user name I kept faffing around with it. There used to be a hyphen between name and numbers but seemed to shown as a space now.

I tried space no space and then the hyphen still no joy.

Then a reply from dd try all lowercase. well I had a Homer Simpson moment looked at what I'd tried and realised my user name has a lower case p. Now back thankfully and don't intend to log out ever again. I've ripped the page out of my password book and written all the info correctly this time. I wish she'd have mentioned her for clarity idea yesterday but all seems back to normal now.

I do like the look of the new forum very clear.

for anyone else who is slightly confused by this, I have discovered that sometimes when you click on the Quote button in order to quote a post, you end up 'inside' the quote not outside it. It's then not clear who said what ... 

This happens when I right click to open the quote in a new page, not so much when I open it in the same page. 

You need to be in the white space below all the quotes for it to be clear it's you, not the person / people you're quoting. 

Have flagged it up in the Snagging thread ... 

What I haven't flagged up (maybe yet ...) is the way that all you can see in pollyanna's post is a link to 'show previous quotes'. I mean, it makes sense to only show the latest bit, otherwise you're going to get simply HUGE posts which are full of quotes, but it means there's nothing to see if you don't post in the white space at the bottom ...

Long day, but not as long as it could have been.
boys didn't wake until 6.40 this morning.
 I did the school runs etc, then spent the morning on tidying up the kitchen, moving washing  and drying etc on, sorting out a large pile of dry clothes to put away, moped and swept etc etc
then had a early lunch at 12, before going out to Sew until school collections time. DS got dgs1, and when he was back I got Dgd. I did the dinner and then went back out to do some paperwork while I waited for a customer and then had a collection as well. Came in side to sort through a pile of paperwork and file it etc.
took me until about 30 minutes ago, and then I did the washing up (again), and came up to bedroom to relax and wind down.
DS kept his eye on the wee ones.

Good to hear  the little ones slept a little later. Hopefully they'll settle into a decent pattern. it sounds as though you're packing quite a lot in to the day but you sound less stressed which is good

Sue Thanks for posting about the quote problem. I could see my post if I clicked on show previous quotes but it didn't seem right.

I'm typing this in the white space so will see what happens.

Hope everyone got through the storm. I had hardly any internet over the last few days . Road was flooded which never goes well. Openreach were working here this morning so we eventually all got back on line.

I am struggling with this new format.
 I am feeling better now, it's been quiet a long haul.
i was lucky with the tea only have one small tender spot.
work is coming in daily so I am trying to get into a routine although it's very very cold out there, even with the heater on.
I managed to visit Molly yesterday, and I am going out again tonight after babysitting with my friend around the corner, she needs to escape the family at times as well as I do.

I can't get going today.
I started out well enough, but had to go out to visit a customer, came back decided to have a cup of tea and something to eat, and now I am still procrastinating with my second cup of tea and the TV on, but I should be sewing, yet I just want to sit here and do absolutely nothing!
which is not the go getter I aim to be. 
Why don't I enjoy working anymore!?

I think there's a lot of snagging going on with the forum. The day it rolled out the lines were very far apart and the print very large, now the lines seem too close when reading and the print too small I guess we'll need to be patient.

Glad you've  finalised the holiday plans that's something to look forward to.

I was trying to quote both your posts but not happeniing. From experience flu takes a lot of recovering from so although you think you're ok your body needs to get back to normal. Don't beat yourself up about the sewing. Concentrate on the priorities in your day. If need be reduce the jobs you're

 accepting. You will get your get up and go back but don't force it

I agree about the recovery from flu - it can take a while and pushing too hard, too soon can be counter-productive. Please be kind to yourself Ss.
