Savvy, I'm glad that you had a better day. Sorry that you won't be able to sew intensively anymore but hope you will find a way to be paid for your creativity. It's not difficult!

Little monkey has had me up since 5.30 this morning, singing nursery rhymes at the top of his voice. So we have been downstairs to leave his big brother asleep. He came wandering down at 6.45. So the fun begins.
Last day of School for him today.
Dgs2 doesn't have nursery so Dad is coming to collect him while I make the 10 masks that have been requested. That will be enough work for me.This afternoon when I have both of them home I will be sorting out the clothes for next week.Tonight my friend is coming over to sit in the cabin and chew the fat over a glass of wine. It is her birthday the day before mine.Tomorrow I am driving DGD to Portsmouth to visit one of her friends. I have been using that App for lockdown loos, and am rather concerned that I am going to have to travel with limited open loos.
I might not be drinking my usual two plus bottles of water until I get back home. The boys are on a visit to the other family so I don't have to drag them out with us.Sunday I can rest (ish), so that I am ready to drive back down to Dorset for the holiday on Monday.
Biggest and I are going to brainstorm some ideas and how we can adapt our business going forward. We both have attacked our budgets so we know what we need as a minimum income, so a bit of reverse engineering on how we can adapt and still pay our bills. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.6 -
The morning flew by. In the end I made more than 10 masks as Biggest had some orders. Dad kept the boys until 4pm. When he brought them home he said they had been a handful.
They certainly were very trying and were still messing me around when my friend came just after 9pm
she went up and sat on the bed and told them a story, and slowly turned it into a whisper and got them whispering and finally asleep. Life saver, as it was novel so they behaved for her.In the day I went down to one of our little gift shops to buy her a birthday present and the owner has asked me if I want to leave my masks with him to sell, as people keep asking him for masks. He was about to call me. So today before we go out I will leave the 30 or so masks that I have in stock with him. Obviously I will give him a percentage but they wouldn't be selling at all while I am away.
The boys are going to have a sleepover with Nanny as they won't be seeing them next week. So DGD and I are now going to stay in a travelodge for the night and come back tomorrow. That way I can also book in early and will have access to a loo, while I read and relax while the girls are meeting and going around the lake.
I might wonder around Portsmouth but I expect it will be too busy for my liking so relaxing in my room would be more up my street.
Mum gave me £200 for my birthday so I have used some of that. So I have not had to dip in to the holiday funds.
I feel much happier knowing that I will be able to use a loo, and not have to search for open ones. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.5 -

Enjoy your holiday xxxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.4 -
well I have had a hecticly busy few days.
saturday we went down to Portsmouth and Sunday back again to pack and to finish a few masks. pack the car and be ready for Monday.
Monday was getting everyone ready, in the car and driving down to Poole.
yesterday we explored the campsite and had lunch outside the play park. The kids dipped in and out of the paddling pool that we brought with us.
Nights have been pretty disruptive as the two little ones are waking up and not settling. So The first night Neither of us had much sleep.
last night I swapped rooms and was at the other end of the van so didn't hear so much and had a better sleep but poor Biggest has once again hardly had any sleep. The kids have all sang happy birthday to me at least a dozen times.
Biggest has just taken the dog for a walk, and I am supervising (ish).
dgs1 has had a horrible meltdown and spent the time hitting his head on the wall , the door and the floor. He has pulled everything off the bed and thrown it on the floor when trying to get him to have time out away from the rest.
its not exactly peaceful at times.
